Summary: Well Done Mystery
Review: Most mysteries or detective books are really boring and you can tell exactly what will happen next. Golden did an excellent job of keeping you on your toes on what will happen. I went to bed reading one night, and got to a part where I didn't want to put the book down, not only because I was so into it, but because it went into so much depth of what was going on it was scary! I love books that you can feel like you are there, even though in this situation it isn't the best. You could never tell what was going to happen next, and that is a good thing because it's boring if you know what will happen next. This book I will reccommend to anyone starting in around the 6-8th grade and up. It's kind of gruesome in some parts, and goes in great details in several accounts. But I loved it and I hope I will enjoy the rest of the series as much as I did this book! Great Job Golden!

Review: Ohmygosh, this is such a great book.I loved it cause Jenna Blake is such a real character. I loved murder and suspense novels and I'm so glad I found this one. I can't wait til Theif of Hearts comes out!!!!

Review: Once I started reading this book I couldnt put it down.It has good character development between Jenna blake and the friends and family that come into her fatefull life.The death scenes were exciting and elaborate and the story allways kept me guessing.A must read !

Summary: Refreshing and original...
Review: This book is much like many others Christopher Golden has written, including the Shadow Saga: refreshing and original in its own right. When I first saw this book, I had my doubts about it, but once i read past the first chapter, I knew I'd be looking out for the rest of the series.I personally enjoyed the well-conceived plot, as well as the realistic characters. Many young adult books these days seem more suited for preteens, for example, the Sabrina the Teenage Witch series, Fear Street (in a slight sense), Sweet Valley High, and numerous others, but an actual teen, or young adult, would really enjoy this book. For one, the main character, Jenna Blake is a freshman in college (for most "young adult" books, the main character(s) is/are in high school), and that gives it a plus. Then there's the not-so-perfect family that Jenna Blake has, giving it a realistic touch, along with the slight friction between her parents. Of course there's also the hesitation Jenna feels at going away to college, and the obligation she feels that she has to fulfill her mother's hopes for her to become a doctor. Jenna Blake is not your average high school/college bimbo whose life is perfect, but instead a teen who could exist easily in the real world, and whom I certainly identify with. Golden has brought yet another great novel into the literary world, and I sure hope he will bring in more of his own original pieces, not just books based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or X-Men or whatever.

Review: This book is one of the most intelligent, and witty books I have ever read. Jenna Blake is one of the most realistic and amazing main characters I have ever read and all the supporting characters are just as well developed. I can't wait till Theif of Hearts comes out!

Review: This book is so awesome. I have read it a million times and I still find it facsinating. Jenna and Danny make THE PERFECT COUPLE! My 3 faveorite characters were Jenna Melody and Danny.

Summary: Exciting!
Review: This book kept me going till the end. You would never guess what was going to happen! There are many ups and downs, but not one part of the book is the slightest bit boring, or slow. You really get into the book, and you're there cheering her on from the begining. Just starting college she is faced with many things, her parents, school, new people, new things, boys! She has a lot to concentrate on, but is forced to face more. The death of a professor, and almost the death of her father. Yet she still finds time to start to develop a little romance. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good murder mystery, especially if you're into the whole forensic pathology thing.

Summary: Starts with a bang, then falls apart
Review: This book started out with a good plot premise but it quickly fell apart. Too much of the underpinnings of the story were left unexplained or glossed over. Also this book includes just about every cliche I've ever read in a mystery. And some of the gore is simply overkill. A disappointing book.

Review: This book was very well written and captured my attention as soon as i read the first page. It may be a little disturbing in parts but it is all together very interesting if you like mystery and suspense. I reccomend this to anyone with a semi-strong stomach though. Once you read you'll find out why. Overall I have come to the conclusion that Christopher Golden is a brilliant writer and writes amazing books.
