Summary: My favourite Young Adult book
Review: I read this book when I was high school and I loved it. six years later I read it again and it's still my favourite young adult book lhoug I'm an adult! Even a non SCI-FI fan ( like me) will love this book.

Rating: 4 stars

Summary: The Duplicate
Review: It was so stupid! The author could have made it a great book. Too much detail, the story was bland, people swore. If this book was a movie, it would be PG-13. Who in their right mind would make a clone of themselves. In the action department I would give it a 2, Suspense 1. Overall, a dumb book. I hope this review was helpful. I wouldn't waste my money....

Summary: Science fiction readers beware!
Review: The Duplicate just might be the best book you ever read. In my case, it certainly was. This book introduced me to loving science fiction books with its suspense and captivity. The book catches on to you so that you read it constantly. It's about one boy who duplicates himself, has many dangerous adventures and gets his life put on the line. If you are a scienc fiction lover I strongly recommend this book to you. Enjoy!

Summary: The Duplicate
Review: The Duplicate was a excellent book that I would love to explain to many others. I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars for a great science fiction story. There was great creativity in the story. I love how he gives his charachters totally different personalities. For example, the two duplicates were given different personalities. One was good, and the other was evil. Another thing is how he explains what's happening. He has his characters tell what's happpening by them talking to themselves inside their heads. The book is about a boy named David, and how he finds a mysterious machine that can copy living things. He thinks his problems are over. By duplicating himself, he can be in two places at once, which was his grandmother's house, and his date's house at the same time. I would have never done that. I would have just asked the girl out on a date for the next weekened, and still go to my grandmother's house. As much as I think this book was good, the ending wasn't what I expected. The ending was the same as so many other stories that I have read that have clones. I was hoping for something different and unique. Besides that, it was a great book. The beginning and the middle of the story were most entrancing. I would really recommend this book for someone who wants to expand their mind and ideas. David goes to school like any other person would go through as a teen, in fact his main friends are so caught up in love that they don't even help David out with the problems he has. The thing I loved the most in the story were David's parents. They are totally different than I would normally imagine from my parents. I think you should read this great book. Enjoy!

Summary: The Duplicate by William Sleator
Review: The Duplicate was a really good book, one of William Sleator's best (if perhaps a little--fantastic?). It's about a boy who finds a clone machine on the beach. He subsequently makes a copy of himself ("why not?!") who soon turns against him. A third duplicate complicates things even more. Overall, a very thought-provoking, well written. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Summary: The Duplicate
Review: The Duplicate was a very good and unpredictable book. It was about a young boy named David who was on the beach and found a machine which was called the Spee Dee Dupe. When David noticed the machine he went over towards it and he pushed a button on it, when he looked around he noticed that now their was two seagulls instead of one, they looked exactly the same. David decided to bring the Spee Dee Dupe home and see what it actually was. When it was brought home he decided to try it out on his fish, and not only now did he have one fish, but now he has two. David thought it would be cool to have someone to help him out so he didn't see how duplicating himself could be such a bad idea. You should read this book to see what David has to go through with a double of himself and what he must do to resolve it. This book is Science Fiction and it was very enjoyable, I couldn't put it down. If you don't read this book your missing out on a wonderful thrill.

Summary: The Duplicate Review
Review: The Duplicatewas a very suspensfull book. It was filled with surprises from the start. It's about a boy named david who finds a duplicating machine and duplicates himself. this happens in the beginning (filled with suspense). I dont know about you but I hate books that are uneventfull and unexciting at the begining. Also in some book the beginings are filled with description.......BORING! Not this book, it doesn't have to much or to little description in it. However the ending i did not like. It ended leaving you hanging not knowing what will happen next. I hate books that cut you off like this one. If it were not for the ending I would have given this five stars. I hope that he will make a sequal. This book also has a good mesage to the kids. think before you act. in this story David did not think before he acted. He just made a duplicate of himself. It is the same with kids. They need to think about what the cosequences might ge if they for example say yes to drugs. If everyone thought before taking drugs a lot less people would be taking drugs. Also if you like a good suspense book, this book is filled with suspense from begining to end. I hope you enjoy this book if you decide to read it!

Summary: this is reeeeeeeeeally cool
Review: This author was visiting my 7th grade, so my mom took out some books he had written. I was skeptical to read them, but I decided to read it for English. It was so great that I finished it in 2 days!!!! Usually it takes me at least 3 weeks to finish a book, and I finished this in two days. It was captivating, realistic, and funny. It wasn't at all predictable and was one of the best books I ever read. Everyone should read this book!!!!!!!!!!
