Rating: Summary: An unbelievably compelling adventure/survival story Review: Gary Paulsen is definitely my favorite author of all time. In most of his books, there's a tale of struggle, survival, and learning lessons the hard way. "The Voyage of the Frog" is no exception. David Alspeth's uncle dies and gives him a boat called the Frog that he pretty much lived in. He tells David to go far out in the Pacific Ocean to where he can't see any land in any direction and scatter his ashes. David does that, but some trouble arises, a storm carries him further out to sea. David has to find a way to get back to the coast of Ventura, California before he dies of starvation, from the storm's wrath, etc."The Voyage of the Frog" has elements of survival, adventure, and suspense to it that make it a great book. You'll see David go through a harsh storm, a shark attack, and even a near collision with an oil tanker. Gary Paulsen knows how to use imagery better than most writers do. While you're reading the book, you'll actually feel like you're the character in the story. Another thing, it usually takes me at least a week to read a book that's only about 150 pages long, but I just couldn't put down "The Voyage of the Frog." The first night I had it I read more than half of the book, and then I finished it the second day because I couldn't wait to find out what happened. I recommend this book to anybody.

Rating: Summary: Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuull Review: I have recently read a book called The Voyage of the Frog. This is a story about a 14-year-old boy, David Alspeth who granted his uncle's last wish, to dump his ashes in the sea where he sailed. Then a terrible storm hits him on a ship called "Frog" which was his uncle's own ship. He was thrown in the middle of the sea with little food, no radio, and no wind to propel the ship. Later, he almost collided with an oil tanker and almost drowned. He was seriously injured and the ship was a complete mess. After David succesfully found land, south of Baja, there was no sign of civilization. As a ship came by and the captian offered to take him back home but they had to leave the "Frog". He refused, and they left him food and water and then they left. Now he was on his own and he had some sailing to do. After I read this book, I found it really dull and boring. It had no humor and didn't have any excitement. It barely had any interesting parts and was mostly tedious. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
Rating: Summary: A Big Scary Story Review: I like the book, but it's not the book I'm looking for. I'm not looking for sailing books. The writer will want you to read it by the way he ends the chapters and the book.
Rating: Summary: This takes you on a scary but unforgettible ride. Review: I like this book it was almost like I could watch evrey thing in this book in my head like I was watching a movie and I wanted to know what happend. The chapters are small to that means this is a good book to read if you dont have much time but you want to get some reading in. In a week you will prabally be able to finish this book.
Rating: Summary: Scary and Exciting Story Review: I liked the book , The Voyage of The Frog, because it had lots of excitement in it! I was sad when I read that his Uncle Owen had cancer, so that part was emotional for me. The part about the shark is so cool because it also has excitement in it. It was just like "Jaws", the movie. I also thought that it was sad when he had to throw Owen's ashes into the sea. I thought the storms were scary. When the oil tanker came, I shuddered with fear. I thought when the wind picked up, it was so exciting. When the researchers came I was so excited. The book was great!
Rating: Summary: Action adventure Review: I liked the book the Voyage of the Frog beacause it was scary , yet exciting and full of suspence. It was so sad that Owen died.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: I really enjoyd The Voyage of the Frog. I liked how Mr.Paulsen caputerd the feeling of David, the main character, during the storm when all of the provisions were falling on him . It made me feel like I was in David's shoes at that point. This is one of the best books that I read, that made me feel like I was really that person. I think Gary Paulsen is a great writer. I hope Mr.Paulsen writes a book that concludes what happens to David.
Rating: Summary: "The Isolated Task" Review: I really enjoyed the book, The Voyage of the Frog. It was amazing! It was also exciting. It made me go to the edge of my seat! I would call it "The Isolated Task" because Isolated means to be separated from others and task means David has work to be done. I think David Alspeth was a great main character because he was a great survivor and he was very brave. I aslo hope Gary Paulsan writes another book!
