Summary: Second Book in the SVH Senior Year Series
Review: "Say It To My Face" picks up where "Can't Stay Away" left off--with the embarrassing shower scene between Elizabeth Wakefield and Conner McDermott. They both realize they're now "roommates" when Liz stumbles upon a half-naked Conner in her bathroom. (Liz had accepted Megan Sandborn's invitation to move in with her family; however, she didn't know beforehand that Megan and Conner were half-siblings and living in the same house.) This really complicates things for Liz and Conner, because they've both become infatuated with each other ever since the beginning of the school year, but neither one is willing to admit it. So, when Maria Slater (Liz's close friend) falls head over heels in love with Conner, Liz has no apparent reason to stop her; after all, Maria still thinks Liz hates Conner's guts. And what makes it worse for Liz is that Conner returns Maria's feelings wholeheartedly, when Liz had been certain he still felt something for her.

On a lighter note, Liz makes some new friends with Conner's group (Tia Ramirez, Angel Desmond, and Andy Marsden), which is an opportunity for Liz to shed her old image. Although Tia mentions to her boyfriend (Angel) that Liz doesn't seem like a blonde bimbo (Conner's previous opinion of Liz), I'd have to disagree. Liz uses Valley girl slang ("like", "whatever", "omigod") quite often and gossips a lot about clothes, other people, etc. What happened to the good ole practical Elizabeth Wakefield? This ditsy behavior I would have expected from Jessica, but not from Liz.

And speaking of Jessica: she's now the social reject of the two, because she got involved with a taken guy, Will Simmons. Now his girlfriend (Melissa Fox) is ruining Jessica's reputation by spreading rumors about her, writing "Jessica Wakefield is a slut" on the blackboard, and sabotaging Jessica's cheerleading routine. Really, I think Melissa is spending way too much time and energy on the wrong person. What about Will? He's the one who cheated on her. Jessica's entirely innocent.

That dilemma is probably the most aggravating thing about this book/series. Well, that and some of the names of these books in this series, starting off with "Say It To My Face". I know the intended target for SVH Senior Year is teenage girls, but do they have to try so hard to be "hip" by naming their books "As If I Care" and "So Not Me"? I keep expecting the next book to be called "Like, Omigod, Whatever".

Still, I think this is a great series and slightly better than the old Sweet Valley High books. True, there aren't a lot of the old faces from SVH, but the writing is much more compelling. Worth checking out if you're 12+ years-old and enjoy teen drama/romance books.

Summary: QUITE STUPID
Review: First of all: What in the world is wrong with Elizabeth Wakefield? She's acting like a real airhead. First, she makes up these little "lists" about why she musn't like that stupid macho Conner McDermott and then she has the absolute NERVE to get all cold at Maria Slater because she starts to go out with Conner. She trying to deny she likes him - she doesn't have any right to get mad at her. And Jessica! Jessica's acting like she's some frightened little waif, scurriying around SVH just because some little priss named Melissa is out to get her. Whatever happened to the bold, tough Jessica Wakefield who let NO ONE mess around with her? She'd better get herself organized before that witch Melissa takes over the whole school.

And another thing: Why is everyone calling Jessica a slut? I know that idiotic Will is spreading rumours, but then everyone is critizing her on what she wears. Jessica is always wearing miniskirts and other girls wear them too. I think those El Carro girls better shapen up. Because when the real Jessica Wakefield comes back, they'll all be wishing they had never messed with Jessica Wakefield!

Summary: What have you done to Sweet Valley?
Review: How could the twins have changed this much in so little time? For Elizabeth, leaving a meeting early was a big deal but now she is skipping meetings to go shopping with her new friends. Maria is chasing after boys- one in particular who another character is in love with. I could not believe what Maria was doing to Elizabeth, she seems out of touch with reality. Jessica is being snubbed by everyone including her sister, while Lila should just grow up and stand by her friend. Didn't Jessica believe her when Lila had the problem with John, and then when Lila was accused of being an arsonist? This book did move a little better than the previous one though, with more action. Summary: Ok. Whats up?
Review: I know if you're reading this you probaly already know things have changed in this series. I think Elizabeth is shelfish in this book. She likes the guy her friend likes. How rude. I like Jessica more in this book. She needs new friends and instead of the same snobby ones. Maybe she can become friends with more down to earth people who really care about her. Well its a good book but i hate some of the new things.

Summary: Pretty Cool...
Review: I really enjoyed this book. The diary entries are great. It is also good to see Elizabeth and Todd broken up, the whole Conner/Liz thing looks like it will be great. Especially since Maria likes Conner too. I think that Tia may become Elizabeth's new best friend. I have also noticed that Enid and Elizabeth are drifting apart. Winston isn't in this series, which is kinda upseting since he adds comic relief. Overall a 5 star book, I really like where the storyline is going.

Summary: About time there was change in good ol' Sweet Valley!!!
Review: I really like the new Senior Year series. I mean, I liked the old Sweet Valley, but everything was getting a bit monotonous. I felt I was growing out of Sweet Valley High, so I was turning to SVU instead. I'm glad that there are new characters because all of the old characters have been around like forever. Jess and Liz were like perfect but now you know that Jess has insecurities and Liz actually skips meetings. You are able to get new insight on what high school life is really like and not perfect. I mean that's nothing like my life or anyone I know. This series is amazing, awesome, terrific, superb, and darn, I've lost my place in the thesaurus.

Summary: Not as good as the first one
Review: I really liked the first book in this series, but I didn't think this one was that good. What has happened to Jessica -- she never used to let anyone mess with her! She better get her old personality back.

And Elizabeth shouldn't be upset Conner is going out with Maria - if she had just admitted she had liked him she might be going out with him now.

I still think it's a good series though and can't wait to the next one to see Mellissa get her own back!

Summary: I have to agree with Jessica. Melissa really is evil.
Review: I really liked the four SVH Senior Year books so far. But I have to admit, Melissa's a little on the wicked side.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: AWESOME BOOK!
Review: I THINK THAT THIS BOOK WAS VERY GOOD. EVEN THOUGH THAT MELISSA WAS SO MEAN TO JESSICA, THOUHGT THAT THE PLOT WAS VERY GOOD.
