Review: This book was awesome and TOTALLY addictive! It was wonderfully written and I could not put it down. Peter, Jenna, Miguel, Nicole, Jesse, Melanie, Ben, and Leah come together to work at a carnival to benefit a friend with leukemia. They are all very different and all go their seperate ways, but then a tradgedy brings them together once again. Will this friendship last? Read "Get a Life" and find out!

Summary: A Thoroughly Enjoyable Book
Review: This book, and the entire series, is great fun. I find myself unable to put them down. Here is a good story of teenage life, relationships, and romance that doesn't feel the need to fill its pages with sex and smut. The age suggested by the publisher is 12 and up. I suggest these books to anyone. I should know. I'm 20 years old, and to top it off, I'm an English major in college.

Summary: An OK book
Review: This wasn't the best book, but it was OK. Kind of cute really. Anyway, there are 8 main characters: Melanie, the cheerleader; Nicole, the wannabe; Best friends Peter and Jenna; Jesse, the jock; Leah, the frustrated one, Miguel, the mysterious one, and tagalong Ben. OK, this is what the book is about:

When Kurt is diagnosed w/ cancer, the students at CCHS throw a fund-raising carnival. The main characters (mentioned above) are in charge of the hotdog stand. After the carnival is over, some still keep in touch. 2 weeks after the carnival, Kurt dies. At the memoral service at school they all decide to help raise money so "the junior exploreres" (a group for kids who come from bad families, and lead by Peter) can afford a bus for field trips. They decide to dedicate it in Kurts memory. They then decide to call themselves "Eight Prime" (I still dont get it)

Like I said before, the book was kind of cute, but not the best, heres why: 1. the ending was sooooooooooooo boring, and 2. all of the girls (especially Nicole) were always obessing over their weight.

Summary: A bittersweet tale that every teen can relate to.
Review: Well, I loved this book. Why? Well, it's not a fantasy. It's actually something I can relate to, such as liking someone who doesn't like you back, or being in a class that lasted for years. It's not about a girl who kisses a toad and, imagine that, ends up with a prince. Which was strictly coincidental, right? I mean, she couldn't resist kissing the toad because it was just SO cute with all its warts. But anyway, I'm digressing. It's comforting to know that you're not the only one with problems. Some of the situations are hysterical, some will bring you to tears. And THAT, my friends, is why I like this book.

P.S.--If you're in to the girl and toad thing, this is not the book for you.
