Rating: Summary: If you like adventure this is a book for you! Review: In my opinion Summer of the Monkeys by Wilson Rawles is the best book I have ever read. Unlike any other book I have read I didn't want to put this one down. The story is about a boy that is trying to catch 29 monkeys for a reward, but there is a catch. The monkeys have to be unharmed. If you like adventure this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Summer of the Good Book! Review: "Summer of the Monkeys" is very good. On the first day of school at Coronado Elementary (Oklahoma City, OK), My teacher read this book to my class. I recommend you read this book if you haven't. I also like books that are set in Oklahoma because I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Rating: Summary: Summer of the Monkeys Review: Wilson Rawls is a wonderful novelist who wrote two of my favorite stories. Summer of the Monkeys is an adventorous story about a boy who lives in the Apalachian mountains back in the early century. The boy has always wanted a pony, and a rifle, but his family couldn't afford very much. Well this boy never gives up ,and when his oppurtunity comes to get what he has always dreamed of, it was never what he expected. I could read it again and again!
Rating: Summary: A Book For Any Age Review: Children under 9 will enjoy having this wonderful book read to them. Anybody 9 and older will enjoy this book, whether read aloud to them, or read themselves. It is a superb book for school teachers to read aloud, humorous, descriptive, and thrilling. Although Where The Red Fern Grows was also a magnificent book, I would say this one was better.
Rating: Summary: A Good book Review: The book was a very good book because it has a lot of humor and it is also a heart warming story.
Rating: Summary: SUMMER AND THE MONKEYS REVIEW Review: I feel that the Summer Of The Monkeys was a very good book that kept your attention, and never got boring. The circus monkeys were very smart and always out smarted him. Not always did his plans work but his Grandpa always had another plan to catch those monkeys. My favorite part of this book is when the the monkeys got him drunk and stole his cloths and left him in the forest. I recommend this book to everyone because this is a very good book.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book I Ever Read! Review: The Summer of the Monkeys is about a fourteen year old boy who discovers some monkeys near his home which he catches. I really liked this book because it was funny and it was intresting. I would recommend this book to anyone who read Where the Red Fern Grows or any other of Wilson Rawls books.
Rating: Summary: I LOVED this book Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read...I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, anxious to find out what would happen next. I think this book teaches a lot of good lessons about giving to others before taking for yourself. I would definately reccomend this book for people in every age group...
Rating: Summary: An Inspirational Story Review: Summer of the Monkeys is an inspiring book. It is a story about a young boy named Jay whose summer is drastically changed because of a couple escaping monkeys. These monkeys have escaped from a circus and there is a large reward for them. Jay is determined to receive it. This young boy goes through many adventures while trying to outsmart the intelligent monkeys. Meanwhile at home, his twin sister suffers from a disabled leg that she has had to live with her entire life. Her parents can't afford to pay for the surgery that will cure her. If Jay catches the monkeys he wants to buy himself what all boys in the 1800s wished for, a pony and his very own riffle. jay is forced to chose between his wants and the needs of his sister. What will he chose? This book was fun and exciting, but most of all inspiring. I would recommend this book to people of all ages. Summer of the Monkeys is definitely a good choice. So good, you won't be able to put it down.
