Rating: Summary: Summer of the Monkeys Review: Summer of the Monkeys By: Wilson Rawls 290pagesHave you ever seen a tree full of monkeys? Well that was the last thing that fourteen year old, Jay Berry Lee thought he'd see. Jay's grandpa tells him that the monkeys escaped from the circus. Jay's grandpa gives him a net for catching the monkeys. Jay tries to catch the monkeys for the big reward. Jay wants the reward for him to buy a pony and a .22(a gun.) Daisy, Jay's sister has a mixed up leg it's all twisted so that it's hard for her to walk. Daisy is friends with all of the animals, except for the ones that Jay shoots. Do you think that Jay will get his pony and his gun? Jay is determined to catch the monkeys, so that he could acquire a gun and a pony. Every time that Jay would set a trap with an apple in the middle of it the monkeys would come and take the apple and not get caught. When this happened Jay resented the monkeys, and was really mad. Then Jay scolded them and the monkeys seemed bewildered. I think that Jay was a good character. I liked it when Jay went to catch the monkeys they took the apple from the trap and went back to the tree. This is one of the greatest books that I have ever read because its funny and really neat. So do me a favor and read this book.

Rating: Summary: Super Rad Review Review: I read the book Summer of the Monkeys. No one would think of finding monkeys in the game trials of the river bottoms in Oklahoma, but that's exactly what happens in this book. Jay Berry, a 14 year old boy, finds 30 monkeys in the river bottoms. with the help of his blue tick hound, Rowdy and his grandpa, they try time after time to catch and outwit the monkeys. "I don't know about you, Rowdy, but I think those monkeys are up to something." As the adventure unwinds, this book is definitely a page turner.
Rating: Summary: This is the worst book I've ever read. Review: I would not recommend this book Summer of the Monkeys toanyone. It is not that great. I kept on losing interest in it. Itisn't that good. I think it's too long and too hard. The boy and hisdog are trying to catch the monkeys and keep failing to catchthem. They use old slang like "my dog and me." It's a horriblebook.
