Rating: Summary: Awesome Book! Review: I don't like morbid books and I thought that this was going to be a morbid book just by the title but it is an awesome book. It felt like I was that girl that death left behind because it was so... detailed. I honestly wish I could meet the author because after I read this book I read more of her books. In my school library, I read all the Lurlene McDaniel.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books i've ever read! Review: I loved this book. While reading, I couldn't wait to turn the page, and I felt as if i was experiencing what happened with the characters. Also, Lurlene McDaniel is just extremely gifted, writing wise. This was an EXTREMELY good book!
Rating: Summary: It is a good book by Lurlene McDaniel Review: This is an okay book. I liked it because it is kind of like the real life things that happens in teenage world today. The story was about a girl of lost her family in a car crash. She had a a little brother and sister who bothered her alot. And a mother and father that she loved dearly. When they died she had to live with her Aunt and Uncle and her cousin. she hated it. Her cousin got on her back alot about her liveing there and others stuff. In the first week her move she meet a frined who is a boy that helped her settle in with school and later became her boyfriend. She made a good frined that didn't have alot in common with her. But thier friendship turned out ok. Though out the story she had toulbes with remebering her family. She misses them alot. She fells as though she has no one in the world to be with her,. Though she had her Aunt, Uncle and her cousin she still felt as though hsd no one in thw world. But later in book she learns to live with the fact that her family will never come back.
Rating: Summary: an amazing book Review: when i read this book i was flooded with emotions. pity, this poor girl lost her family. guilt, after reading this i thought have i taken my family for granted in the past? as much as i'd like to say i haven't i know that there have been times when i always thought they'd be there. understanding, being a teen myself i understand what it would be like to have your family gone. my family means the world to me and if this situation had happend to me i would have felt the same way she did. always asking myself why wasn't i with them? longing to be with them not "left behind". and finnally the most important faith, if she could survive through this tragic loss. i feel i could survive through anything. this book really moved me and after reading it i realized to never take my family for granted again and tell them how much they mean to you for you may not have another chance. i highly recommend this book it was wonderfully written.
Rating: Summary: The girl death left behind Review: I really loved this book. I've read like ten of the Lurlene McDaniel books and that is my favorite one. Not that the rest of them are bad or anything because I really love them, but it's my favorite. I love the little romance between her and the boy in Floridia. I'm a sucker for that type of thing. I also like hearing sad stories and what this girl went throuhg is absolutly horrible. Something I never realized could happen. She lost everything and on top of that has to move. I really liked this book because it kept it so you didn't want to put the book down. I'm in the eigth grade and in my English class we always have silent reading for 20 minutes. Twenty minutes is not enough for this book. My teacher actually had to take the book away from me because I was starting to read it durring class. That's what I think a good book is.

Rating: Summary: One of the best sad stories I've ever read Review: I absolutely loved this book. I read it in one sitting. This book was also so sad. Every time she mentioned her family and how they were dead I cried. It made me think about my own family and the fact that this same thing could happen to me. One day you have a loving family. The next they're dead and your moving halfway across the country to live with relatives. This book made me value my family more.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Empathetic and real-life. . . Review: The Girl Death Left Behind is a wonderful book by Lurlene McDaniel. This book deals with normal parts of grieving. See, Beth's parents and brother and sister died when they got into a car accident on the way to a picnic. After they died, Beth is very upset-but not fully depressed. She misses her family, naturally, and she wonders what would have happened if she had been in the car too. She feels guilty because she was the only one left alive. Lurlene really gets into the situation and Beth's feelings about it while still remaining empathetic to real life situations like that one. She manages to stay with the plot even when describing normal things like school and friends and stuff. Overall, this was a fantastic book that really teaches you about situations you never thought about. It was really really good. I LOVED IT!! KEEP IT UP!!
Rating: Summary: Beautifully woven tale Review: This book about a young girl named Beth and how she deals with tragedy is so beautifully woven and intricate in plot. The splendor of emotive beauty is engraved in this book and now because I have read this book, also in my heart. Her books teach you that you should "Live life to the Fullest" against all odds. To feel as if you world has caved in on you, and then emerge emotionly victorious, is a way of writing I wish to capture. I doubt if Lurlene ever reads amazon reviews on her books but if she does... I love you Lurlene, your books are awesome, keep going as long as you can, there are many readers that enjoy supporting your habits. When I am older, I will have my kids read your books...
