Summary: Death Left This Girl Behind
Review: This book is about a 14-year-old named Beth who is faced with huge problems. I cried when Beth's brother, Doug, sister, Alison, her mom and dad all died in a car accident. The thing is Beth is should have benn in the car, too, if she was not home sick. Then in a few hours, she faces moving in with her Aunt Camille, Uncle Jack, and their daughter, Terry. She also has to go to Terry's school. At the school, it is full of cliques, and meets a nice boy, and a interesting girl, everyone helps, named Sloane.

Summary: WOW, it's just so sad
Review: OMG!!! I'm an emotianal person i guess but i dont really cry for movies or books. Much less take the time to write a review. But this book made me relize that there is a first time for everything! i was just so sad while reading it, all of McDaniels books are sad, but i really felt Beth's pain. Probably because we all think that some horribly illness wont happen to us, but this was just such a reality for Beth, it seemed like this could happen to anyone. If you are looking for something incredily sad, here you go. It's amazing, i stayed up half the night to finish it, i couldnt put it down. And then i spent the other half the night thinking about it. I'm glad it wasnt a school night. Read it on a day where you have nothing else to do! Well, happy reading!

Summary: Another great story from Lurlene McDaniel
Review: I love all of Lurlene McDaniel's books, and I am working on reading all of her novels. When I read The Girl Death Left Behind, I found it is no exception from being realistic and inspiring. Beth Haxton is a fourteen-year-old who lives with her very close family in Tennessee. They always do things together. On July 4th, Beth has the flu, and her family goes to a picnic without her. Beth awakens to find the police and her father's secretary at the door. They tell Beth her family has been in an accident. At the hospital, Beth is told that her family was dead on arrival. Her life is completely changed from that moment on. She has to move to her aunt Camille's house in Tampa. Then, Beth has to deal with Terri, her spoiled cousin. Will Beth ever find happiness in life without her family? This is an amazing story, and I would definitely recommend it.

Summary: Praise for McDaniel
Review: Wow! I just finished and I was amazed. This story is about a girl name Beth who's family dies in a car accident. Beth is a very believable character and her feelings are very true to life. My own parents died in a car crash when I was four, placing me in my grandmother's care. I found that Beth's feelings in the book are similar to mine, although because of my age, hers were much more complex. McDaniel successfully weaves a fine plot, mixed with exceptional character development, dialogue and Beth's feelings. Although the book didn't mention Allison, Doug nd her parents very well, a tear or two dropped from my eye in sympathy for Beth. You'll definitly want to check out this book. McDaniel definitly deserves praise for this book. Good job Lurlene!

Summary: The Girl Death left behind
Review: I thought that The Girl Death Left behind was a very good book. It is about a girl named Beth, her family is going to a company picnic though Beth is sick and unable to go. While her family is on the way to the picnic they get in a terrible accident. As soon as Beth finds out she is brought to the hospital to find that her family is all dead. Beth needs to learn to live with her selfish cousin in Tampa, Florida. When she moves several states away her aunt treats her like a Queen but all she wants is her family.
This book is very detailed and lets you know exactly what's going on. I think that anyone who likes sad books or like it when they have no idea what's going to happen next, than this is the book for you.

Summary: The Girl That Death Left Behind
Review: Lurlene McDaniel wrote and inspirational book. It shows that no matter how hard life's trial are if you have friends and family who care about you, you can survive almost anything. When rating this book on a scale from one to five I would give it a six. I truly enjoyed it and I wouldn't mind reading more of her books. The book is about how Beth's entire world was turned upside down. A fatal car accident claims the life of everyone in her family. She must now leave all her friends from where she lives and start her life all over again. She knows her Aunt Chammile will take care of her but, it's her snobby cousin Terri who she minds. She is left to deal with the pain of being a survivor and the memories that will haunt her. Can she deal with the pain, and leave death behind?

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not as good as I expected
Review: I think that although the author has a good plot it wasn't as developed as it could be. It could have been a little more complex and interesting.
