Rating: Summary: The Best Book I have ever read! Review: I am not an emotional person, yet I cried reading this book. The thoughts running through Beth's head were so touching that I couldn't put the book down. I am not an avid reader, yet I can not wait to get another book by Lurlene McDaniel. I have experienced a death that was like this although it was in another perspective. My aunt died so I could relate to Terri, Beth's cousin. The book focused on Beth because it was her family that had passed away, but now I could see it from my cousins point of view. It really made me realize how much family means to me and I think that everyone should read The Girl Death Left Behind. You will laugh, cry, you will definalty enjoy this book. Not only does it give you important messages; it really shines a different light on life and death. I loved the book and on a scale of one to ten, it's and eleven!

Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: Beth's world has been torn apart. When a car accident claims the lives of her entire family, she feels gulity because she is the only survivor. She wishes she died, too. Things seem to get even worse when she moves in with her aunt and her spoiled, boy obsessed cousin, Terri. And starting over isnt easy thanks to her new clique-filled school. But all Beth wants to do is move on. but how can she she get over the painful memories of being the only survivor? This book is really good. I finished it on 3 hours.
Rating: Summary: moving on Review: She was alwyas watched and cared for even when she didn't want to be. All she wanted was to get away from them, her parents. Her wish was granted one day when her parents died in a car crash. Beth had no chioce but to move in with her aunt and cousin in Tampa. Beth's new family didn't care about anything that she did, which made her think about how her old family knew about and were involved in her whole life. Can Beth move on and get over her family's death? Can she get along with her aunt and cousin? I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that has parents who are too much into their own lives, to show them everything they do is for them and to keep them safe, because one day they might not have that and wish that their parents were more involved with their lives.
Rating: Summary: Great for any age! Review: This book really makes you think that your family could disappear at any moment. Beth Haxton's family was only supposed to be away for a couple of hours but instead they are gone for a life time. It makes you want to get closer to your family because you never know when they're not going to be there. When Beth's cousin gets jealous of her because she's getting all the attention because her family died, she needs to stop a moment and think, "Would I like it if my family had died and I had to go live in another state with my uncle and aunt and cousins and never see my mom and dad agian?" I reccommend this book to everyone of all ages. It's great. It doesn't make you cry as much as some of her books do, but it is a truly good book.
Rating: Summary: Sad, touching, thought-provoking... Review: This book made me think. I wondered what would happen if I was in the situation Beth, the main character, was in. When I thought about it, it made me want to cry. I could never go through what Beth, although a fictional character, had to go through. In The Girl Death Left Behind, Beth's family goes to a picnic. Beth declines the offer to go with them because she feels sick. Soon later, she receives news that her family has been in a terrible accident, and everyone had died. Beth then has to move to her aunt and uncle's house, where she has to endure her obnoxious cousin, Terri. She soon becomes acquinted with the bad girl of the school, and the guy Terri has a crush on. This book is a short and easy read, so the next time you stop by the book store, look at this book.
Rating: Summary: my review Review: I would have to say that this book is very good. Guys might not be interested in this book as much as girls because its more on the mushy and sad side. I think that its a very emotional book but its good.
