Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It takes you far away... Review: I live in a tropical, sunny Singapore, and when I was a kid, i used to wish I could be up in the alps like Heidi, leading the carefree, stress-free life unlike the one I'm leading here. The pictures were so vividly drawn, I felt that I was up there. I think all children should read this book. It will create sweet dreams for countless nights.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Heidi is a great book for a nine year old! Review: I think Heidi is a great book to read. It's even easy for little kids like me. (By the way, I'm nine years old.) I especially liked the part when Heidi is out with Peter and the goats in the meadow. I'm going to dress like Heidi and use this for my book report.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: curly~haired girl from the alps! Review: My mom had an old copy of this book from when she was little. She wanted ME to read this! I was like, yea, right. So one day i was bored and i picked it up, started reading the first pages, and by two days later i was finished with it! I'm telling you, this book sucks you in! The interesting story of Clara, Peter, Fraulein Rottenmeier, grandfather, and Heidi herself is all fastened together in this extrodinary book. You will NOT put it down i'm serious!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Say it ain't so! Review: Ok, I'm reading the editorials on these Heidi books and they are all the SAME. What is this retold by business? Why would you want to retale a classic story? I'm not about to buy a book for my daughter that is a retold piece of junk. What is it now -- politically correct or some such junk? I want the REAL HEIDI who had dark curly hair, not some bimbo blonde I see on some of thse illustrations. I can't understand why this story needs to be retold when the original story was so great and which I might add I read at least 3 times when I was a child. How would you like to read a RETOLD Shakespere or Poe? But, maybe you meant to say is was retold like in translated from its original language.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: About a girl from the Alps Review: So far this is a good book. I haven't quite finished it yet. My grandma bought me this book and she said this was her favorite book she read back in the 1930's. The only part I don't like is when Heidi's Aunt Detie comes and takes Heidi to Frankfurt to live with Clara. Other wise I like the book a lot.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Pleasurable Book Review: The book Heidi is a book about an orphan girl, who has lived with her aunt after her Heidi's mother dies. Aunt Deet, (Heidi's aunt) dicides that Heidi should go live with her uncle. Many people dispised the uncle. But when Heidi goes up to the Alm, the uncle becomes very delecate. He becomes very attached to Heidi. The book is very detailed and it needed a good ending. It was indeed a very good ending. I think that anyone who want to sit down and read a relaxing book, that book should be Heidi!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Marvelously touches your heart! Review: The original, unabridged version of Heidi transports you to the Swiss Alps and places you with people who are natural and unaffected. Even the wealthy city dwellers who "employ" Heidi have her best interests at heart. I especially enjoyed how Heidi discovers a personal relationship with God in the midst of her sadness; taught by a caring grandmother.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wonderful uplifting Review: This book is a true classic. It's easy and fun to read for children as well as for adults. The way Heidi finds her happiness is a lesson in faith and the power of prayer without being preachy in any way. Having the blues? Curl up on the couch with this book and you'll feel better soon. This one is way up there next to Harry Potter.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Heidi Review: This book is about a little girl named Heidi who is sent to live with a rich family in a city. Heidi befriends her adopted sister, Clara, who is confinded to a wheel chair. But, Heidi misses her grandfather and her mountain home.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Heidi Review: This book is not the movie version of "Heidi" that many of us have seen. The narrative is lengthy and has vivid description. The content is much more than one girl encouraging another girl to learn to walk. Heidi draws on her strong faith to overcome many obstacles, including helping her Grandfather see God's hand in his life. There are many strong, positive character traits portrayed in this book, making it a good influence on our children. I recommend the audio version for good-listeners beginning at age 6. But it is a book the whole family can enjoy together.
