Summary: It was an ok book.
Review: The book "OF MICE AND MEN" was an ok book. In the beginning, it took a while to read in the way they were talking. At first I thought a book with the title "OF MICE AND MEN" would be a bad book. I was wrong, it was ok. It sounded like George and Lennie were good friends. Sometimes while reading I felt bad for Lennie. I liked the way it was written, but the cursing was pretty bad. I just liked the way they were always together. For some reason I liked really Lennie. It felt like I knew or have known someone like him. I think he was a little miss treated in the book, but its only a book. It kind of made me feel sorry, but I don't know why. George seems like a real nice guy for Lennie to travel with. The part of the book that really got me was when George shot Lennie. I actually felt a little teary eyed. But over all I recommend it to anyone who reads. If you are like me and think you won't like it because of the title or something, read it any way. This was a very good book.

Summary: A different perspective
Review: I read this book in my book club and at school we discussed it. I'm in the 8th grade and read it. My student teacher brought in some comments from this site and stated were some that said that it was a mature book, only older kids should read it because we don't understand it (kids). Well, I understood it clearly, about the friendship and different genres of the book. And I think this book was very good because it had a grasp of different assortment of genres and it really shows from the plot of the story.

Summary: One star or Five
Review: I'm torn between giving this book one star for making me depressed and giving the book five stars for how well written and how honest the book is. All in all, the book deserves the classic status it has attained, but do to how the story made me feel, I had to throw my copy away. I am not a reader that will say a simple "this book sucks" but this book made me feel bad. The truth behind the tale disturbed me. That was probably the point trying to be made, but even so, I cannot get by how it made me view the world at the end.

Review: Quite possibly John Steinbeck's best story, it follows the trail of two drifters in search for a job and living their life long dream. All is lost, however, when Lennie "does something very bad." Although there is a lot of profanity, you must realize that this book was created in a time of the great depression. A fabulous book! I Recommend it to every reader!

Review: I thought this book was excellent. Though far different from The Grapes of Wrath, this was a book that could be read by simple minds, yet, not fully appreciated until understood. I am a Steinbeck fan, and loved it.

Review: i was glued to the book the first day i read the first oage. it was different than others but exciting. the characters were very well written . you never know whats going to happen next , thats why i loved it. read this book its great@!
