Summary: different cover models!!!
Review: What's up with the new cover models? We have never had an Alanna model before, so at first i didn't notice that the Conner model was not only different, but HE'S BALDING!!! Eeew! And then in the next book, Melissa and Will are different models too. And I think its supposed to be Trent on the cover after that, and he's black? As far as I remember, they've never specified what race Trent is, but wasn't he supposed to have long hair? I remember thinking how cool it was that Angel's race was barely mentioned... this is getting weird though. In real life, it would be an issue if a non-black girl dated exclusively black guys.

I think the old cover models were MUCH better looking, especially the guys. I shudder to think what the new Wakefield twins model will look like...I think the Elizabeth and Jessica models have been the same girl with different makeup, because they never appear on the cover together. As much as I liked the SVU/SVH models (also from the TV show), i think this girl looks more like how I imagine the characters.

---
I agree with the crowd on Alanna, I don't like her, although I'm not sure why. I think its cool that little miss goody goody Elizabeth Wakefield DOESN'T get the guy for once, but at least Liz and Conner had something in common. (haha, poor Liz, he's completely over her!) All Alanna and Conner have in common is alcoholism and lousy parents (excluding Conner's mom). The obsessive codependant dynamic of their relationship is realistic, as well as pleasantly distant from the mostly flaky-yet-wholesome relationships you get in the series. But its very unglamourous to read about, painful, even. I feel like when the relationship inevitably self-destructs for real, Alanna will be written out. She doesn't have any friends in the series besides Conner, and she's somehow not that likeable.
