Rating: Summary: I'm disapointed... Review: I know a lot of people loved this series but I didn't. The idea was good but I just didn't like it. The first book was a 9, the second was a 7, but this one was a 5. Jenny should have dumped Tom & go with Julian. Tom was such a wimp. Julian would have been a much better choice & he wasn't really evil.
Rating: Summary: This is the saddest, yet most realistic book I've read. Review: Jenny was entirely clueless. I think that when Julian said, "If anything else, all I ever did was love you." I cried on and on. If I were Jenny I would've stayed with Julian in the first book. Julian may have pretended to be evil in the begining, but his only crime was loving someone who was dumb enough not to love him.
Rating: Summary: I love these books! Review: Oh Julian! You may never see the light of day but you will always have a place in my heart! You make me wish i Had honey blond hair and green eyes, and was atotal dip!
Rating: Summary: READ IT NOW! Review: Okay, from all the other reviews you can see this is a great book. Read it NOW, along with the other two. I couldn't put this book down, so I finished it at about 2 in the morning. It was so sad, I cried, and I'm not normally a very emotional person. This is LJ Smith's BEST series, and I've read them all: Dark Visions, Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, Night World, are there any I've left out
Rating: Summary: I read this book and fell in love with it! Review: I just love L.J. Smith books. This was prabably her absolute best. I cried at the end when Jullian died and a part of me died too. If I were Jenny I would pick Jullian over Tom any day. At the end she didn't even tell him that she loved him (which she did, love him I mean) when he was dying. L.J. Smith should add a fourth book to this series as Jullian coming back as a normal, every day, high school boy. She did it in Vampire Diaries, why not now
Rating: Summary: I read it....and part of me died when it ended. Review: I know that a lot of the people who read the book said that Jenny was really stupid for choosing Tom over Julian....but for me, that is not true. It isn't for us to judge whether or not it was right for her to chose Tom....it was her choice (and, of course the author's!). Some people didn't see the story as I did. For me, the point wasn't that Jenny had two gorgeous opposites to chose from. It was about love, and how much love can change someone. I know that a lot of the readers may disagree with the way I saw the story....because they saw it in another light. I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion! :)
I think that when Lisa Smith wrote this book....she wanted to show us what love can do for us....and how it can change us.
Of course I cried when I read the end....who wouldn't? I read it...and part of me died when it ended. But I didn't see Jenny as a stupid person who chose the wrong guy to love....I saw her as someone so strong and so wonderful. She was faced with the dilemma of choosing between the two people she loved. And Julian was man enough to make the choice for her....he loved her enough not to force her to choose between them.
Lisa J Smith is one of the most powerful writers I have ever come across. And I hope she continues writing.....for her writing carries a hidden message. A message we too often have to be told in order for us to remember
Rating: Summary: It is wonderful, but it brings tears to my eyes.... Review: I love this book, and I would put put my soul on the line to be in it. In this book, you know about Jenny, Dee, Tom, Zach, Michael, Audry, Summer, and all those people, and they are your ordinary teenagers. But, then, out of the blue, you meet Julian. The most wonderful person in the whole series. Jenny was so stupid not to love him. I mean, he comes into the story, and steals your heart, with his unbelieveable beauty, and she still despises him. This book has changed my life, because I am forever on the lookout for the beautiful Shadow Man, Julian. When he died, he took my heart and my soul along with him. He leaves you stunned, and shocked, and just so in love. It hurts to see him gone. I wake up in the middle of the night, sometimes, to see, as all of the characters did, a human figure in my room, and I call to him. I call to him,"Julian?" And he disapears. Of course, this is in my imagination, but this book makes you want it to be so real. You fall into a silly childhood-once-in-a-lifetime-spring time-love. And you never want to be brought out of it. When the book is over, you want to die along with Julian. And I believe a little bit of all of us does die with him. The very best part of us, our imaginations of love....
Rating: Summary: Good but with a sucky ending... Review: The main problem I had with the book was the ending...I meancome on, Julian was the coolest character in the series! Deeand Michael were ok, and the other kids were total dips. But Julian rocked! How could she *do* that?! Though of course it had to happen, all that good vs. evil crap. Let's get real. Any girl with two brain cells to rub together would pick Julian in an instant! I mean, let's see, do I want Mr. All-American- Football-Playing-Egotistical-Jerk-Boy, or do I want the gorgeous Shadow Man with god-like powers and total love and devotion for me? Gee...I don't know! But oh well, it was still good. Sorry 'bout the rant. :)
Rating: Summary: His frosty white shown in the moonlight, I'm Julian he said. Review: I would give anything in the world to have one kiss with Julian. What in the world does Jenny see in Tom??? I would just like to know, does anyone else think Jenny has an I.Q. of, oh let's see...2! This story is about a demon prince...Julian that falls in love with, as it seems to me, a total retard named Jenny. But, alas Jenny is in love with this total wuss of a guy named Tom. So Julian tries to make Jenny fall in love with him--in real life it wouldn't have been that hard...Oh lets see do I want to love a complete idiot, like Tom. Or a gorgeous guy with beautiful blue eyes and frosty white hair that also happens to be a demon prince that loves me completely and utterly??? But it is a great series, even though, as I said before--Jenny is a complete retard. Read it, you'll fall in love with the book, and with Julian
Rating: Summary: The best book I read by LJ SMITH and I have read 17 books Review: It was a very very good book. I recomend LJ Smith to All my friends. I also, cried at the end because it was very sad.( I don't cry easily) IF you read the other two books you will understand my review.
Towards the middle of this book. Jenny frees the souls of people she shouldn't have( I'm not going to say who, because it might make it more interesting to read now.
Towards the end Jullian gives up his life for Jenny, because he loves her so much. That is what got me because I wanted Jullian to have Jenny because I thought that her boyfriend was a WUS
