Summary: Best Antagonist I've Ever Encountered!
Review: Oh, man.... Three days ago, my friend lent me the first book (The Hunter)in this trilogy, and I couldn't put it down. The day before yesterday, I swapped it for the second one (The Chase). Yesterday evening I borrowed this one. What can I say, besides "How could Jenny choose Tom over *Julian*? " What a tear-jerker! It tears at your heart-strings! As there's probably not a big chance for a sequel, I can only hope that anything I write could somehow be this good. This enthralling. This masterful. And it being the last book (and Julian 'gone') leaves me with another problem: What do I read now, when anything I could possibly pick up could only be disappointing? (If you've got an idea or want to talk about the book or anything, please email me!)

Summary: Tom over Julian?
Review: Please! I only hope there is a sequel in which Julian somehow comes back and sweeps Jenny off her feet. I mean, he's not evil and he's hot, so what's Jenny's problem? But, I still loved the books!

Summary: L.J. SMITH YOU MUST DO A SEQUEL!!!!
Review: This book totally rules!!! I have not read a book since that has had such realistic and enjoyable characters. Jenny was *really* stupid for choosing Tom and *not* Julian. The third book, I absolutly won't call it the last, because it cannot be:), was the most realistic to me because I have worked in "Joyland Park" for four years. Congrats Lisa, you've gotten the park down to its immaculate walkways. But really, I think I can speak for all readers when I say, "Bring back Julian, please." This is one book that deserves to be a movie, along with the Secret Circle. There aren't enought teen flicks. Viva Julian!!!

Summary: A Great Series
Review: I just want to say L.J. Smith is one of the best authors for teens and young adults. She ranks right up there with Christopher Pike and R. L. Stine. The whole series "The Forbidden Game" was excellent. I have never read a book that actually makes you think like this one. Are there worlds out there with beings like Julien? Are there REALLY shadowmen??? It is truely exhilerating! I've read the whole series twice and I will probably read it again!

If L. J. Smith can capture a bunch of high school seniors (like myself and my friends) then she can DEFFINETLY capture and pull you into her world.

Summary: The Forbidden Game
Review: The Kill was the best book out of the entire Forbidden Game trilogy. At times this book had me really frightened. The part where Jenny found out what happens to her grandfather just gave me chills. I love Dee's words of strength that she got from the kung fu movie. "I am as strong as I need to be. I am my only master." When Jenny finally realizes to herself that she loves Julian I started to cry. I cried even more when Julian died but it was a good ending to the book. I was cracking up at the part when all her friends are trying to get her out of the park and Jenny wanted to stay and talk to Julian. Ironic. Anyway, the trilogy can be quite scary at times. This was probably the scariest of them all. I loved the entire Forbidden Game series. Dark Visions, Night World, and Vampire Diaries are just as good but none of them really touched me the way The Forbidden Game did.

Summary: My Favorite novel - but it needs a few changes
Review: This trilogy of books have to be my favorite books ever. So beautifully and intensely romantic and intriguing but

1. Julian seemed a little girly at times - i mean what's up with that belt he wears in the first novel? Apart from his clothes and all that- I would love to meet someone as romantic and seductive and devilish as Julian - and plus he was genuinely in love with Jenny even though a little obbessed and possesive.

Did L.J. smith have a crush on the goblin king from Labyrinth or Billy Idol or what ?

2. Yuk! Incest? - enough said!

3. Why does Jenny have to be a typical beauty tall, blonde and slim? - what a cliche! I don't think characters these days on t.v. and in novels are multicultural enough (i.e. african american, asian etc.).

4. Julian wasn't in the novels enough.

But i liked how Jenny was sooo normal and real. She was so good that she could love someone evil and She was so good that even someone evil could love her.

Apart from all those things i loved all the novels - it's the ultimate fantasy. I agree it should definetly should be made into a movie - maybe the makers of the craft or the scream movies can do it and make it a little more funnier and horrific.

I loved book one the best and my favorite scene would have to be in the cavern in book 3.

well if anyone wants to swap opinions on the novels with me feel free to e - mail me.

p.s iam thinking of writing a novel myself.

Sorry if you haven't read the novels yet but enjoy!

it's worth investing a few hours reading the trilogy. :)

Summary: It was great!!!
Review: Oh my gosh!!! I cried so hard when I read this book!!!! Why does Jenny have to go to Tom anyway??? She could have been SO happy with Julian.....Hmmm too bad. Anyway... I really loved the book and I really hope that L.J Smith will write more books like that.

Summary: The bestest best, most touching book I have ever read.
Review: This book is the most fabulous book I have ever read. Michael Crichton ,STEP ASIDE! I've read this book more than a hundred times and I cried everytime I read the ending. Someone should make this story into a movie! Like hello! This is one of the best plots I've ever come across and I think that those Movie makers out there shouldhear me out! I also hope that all you " The Forbidden Game" fans will help me in waking those Movie people up. I'd recommend this book to evey female teenager in the world who likes reading about romantic , suspenseful , spine chillers. ( Way to go Lisa! from Olive END

Summary: This book should have about 10 stars!
Review: I felt soooo bad for Julian! I hated the fact that he would turn ugly liked the rest of the Shadowmen. I very angry at Jenny as well. But I am glad that Zach, and Tom weren't in most of it, I thought those 2 really slowed the other books down. I hated Tom, geez Julian would have given Jenny the world, what could Tom give her? I was glad they got Summer back though.

Summary: Loved it....
Review: This is one of my favorite LJ Smith books, and the Forbidden Game is one of my favorite trilogies...next to Vampire Diaries, and Secret Circle...well, I liked it better than Dark Visions. Julian, yep, I loved him too, he was suuuch a sexy bad boy (like most of LJS' guys) but he really showed that he loved Jenny at the end by sacrificing himself to save her. But that's why the ending was so good and NECCESSARY, if (incredibly) sad. Even though he did have goodness in him, if he had lived, I believe it wouldn't have stayed, and he would have gone back to his old obsessive, dangerous, moody (and sexy) Shadow-Man self. Because only by giving up his life would he stay and be remembered as good... I'm not saying that he wasn't, just that, had he "lived," he would've been nice for a bit, then started another game. And he'd have other moments of niceness, but since he never seemed to give up in the other books, his obsession with forcing Jenny to play his little games would've gone on until she and all her friends died of old age...which is why he should've picked ME! Take me, Julian! Take me! Forget Jenny, and take...um, anyway, I liked the book. BTW, does Spike from the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer remind anyone else of Julian? I thought it WAS him the first time I watched the show...
