Summary: The True Story of Pocahontas
Review: I give "The Double Life of Pocahontas" five stars. This is a great book. It gives information about the colonists and Native Americans, how they interacted, how they didn't get along, and howw they worked together. This book tells the real story of John Smith and Pocahontas. Their looks, what they did together, how they helped each other, etc. It shows the perspective of both sides. If you saw the Disney movie, and you want to know the truth, read the real story by Jean Fritz. Anyone interested in Pocahontas or needs a good book to read, should read this book A. S. A. P.

Summary: The Double Life Of Pochahontas
Review: I liked that Jean Fritz had alot of facts. I didn't like the way Jean Fritz barly talked about Pochahontas at all. I would recommened this book for information about James Town. Not for information for Pochahontas. I would recommend this book for atleast 6th graders. The Double Life Of Pochahontas is about Pochahontas two marriages to Kocum and John Wolfe. It talks mainly about JamesTown early years.

Summary: Mrs. Woodard's class thing.
Review: I really liked The Double Life of Pochantus, by Jean Fritz, even though it was a biography. I usually don't like biographies, but this spoke the truth about Pochantas, plus it was intresting. In the movie, John Smith and Pocahontus fall in love. This is not so the case in the book. John Simth and Pocahantus were brother and sister by Pocahantus saving John Smith's life. I don't want to spoil anymore exciting parts of the book. Read it for yourself. You'll see it's short, but yet intreging.

Summary: WARNING:REALLY BAD BOOK!
Review: I think this book was one of the worst books in the whole world! This book sounded like a rough draft. It just stated facts and it had no dialogue. It was not entertaining at all.

Summary: The real Pocahontas, COOL!
Review: If you want an accurate description of Pochontas' double life this is the book for you to read. I would recommend this to people who have seen Pocahontas, the Disney movie, because that is an innacurate discription. Pocahontas lives a double life because on one side she must remain loyal to her father, and on the other she loves John Smith. I liked the book because it gave me an accurate account on Pocahontas.

Now a little bit about the book. The settlers from England come and immediatley find out there are indians and start to trade with them. John Smith, a short man with a scratchy beard, is caught by the indians and sentanced to death. Pocahontas saves him and he becomes her sister. Powhatan becomes mad with the English because they wont trade weapons; turmoil break loose between them and... read it and find out yourself how it ends. Jean Fritz delivers a great story.

Summary: The double life of Pocahontas
Review: Pocahontas has to deal with all the new changes in her life. It stated when the English came to America to make a new settlement called Jamestown. The English had came there to find gold, build a colony, change the Indians to christians, and to find the other ocean. They go threw the many hatd times from starving to being attacked be the Indians. The Indians didn't want to take the Christian word. They also didn't believe in the English god either. This was a very good biography. It tells the truth to what realy happened to the Indians. How the English really treated them. That there life wasn't so easy. It isn't like the fairy tail written by Disney. Not all life being perfect and the end isn't like the movies. I recommend this bopok to anyone that wants the truth of Pocahontas's life. Also if you don't like to read biographies you will like to get your hands on this one.
