Summary: In a word, unforgettable.
Review: The quote above is from the review on the back of the book but I totally agree with it. There is something about this book that just makes me want to read it again and again.. Bascially, it starts off with these two girls, Tracy and Mandy, who are penpals. It's a good start but not exactly inspiring. But read a little further and it starts getting good. One thing I really like is the story Tracy writes about her Nanna, that is very touching and sad. This is probably a book for people over 13 or 14 as it is quite difficult, in parts.

Summary: unique and moving- like all of Marsden's books
Review: Letters from the Inside was one of the best novels I have read. Because Marsden creates characters that are so real, who everyone can relate to, we end up caring so much for them. The book is a strory about friendship and people in general, topics which anyone can appreciate although I think that older readers would like it more. Every thing about the book is perfect for creating the intended effect, from each diary entry and random experience to the ending. If you like to read books that are great, READ THIS ONE!

Summary: A STRONG ending!
Review: Despite what some reviews state, the ending was VERY powerful. Much, much stronger than it would have been had Marsden simply answered all of the questions posed at the end. The not knowing is what has the book remain in your mind for a long time afterward. Thank you again, John Marsden, for all of the brilliant books you keep providing us with! I loved the ending. It was one of the best endings I have ever read. It was brave and disturbing and amazing.

Summary: a gripping book with a shocking ending
Review: This is really a terrific young adult book, deserving of all the best book lists it made it to. The whole book is the letters of 2 girls writing to each other, both seeming to have it all. As they write, some surprising truth's come out and they grow closer. The letters and thoughts of these kids are riveting and the ending is powerful, shocking and disturbing. Not like any book I've read before and I still think about it & count it as one of my favorite youth books years after reading it. I'd recommend it for mature teens and adults.

Summary: Does anyone want to discuss the ending?
Review: As with all of Marsden's book, this was intriguing andbrilliant. I am 22, however I still enjoy all his books that aremeant for teenagers, especially the "Tomorrow" series. The reason I am posting this review is because I would love to correspond with someone and discuss the ending to "Letters from the Inside". Anyone who has read it will know how frustrating the ending is and at the moment I can only speculate with myself as to what exactly happened. Please write! Thanks! END

Summary: This is a terrible Book!
Review: I can't understand why this novel was recommended to a friend of mine, and why it was a notable book for young adults per the ALA. This book is near ridiculous! The ending is a complete waste of time, making me wonder why I bothered in the first place, because the novel took the reader absolutely nowhere. We never get an insight into the reality of tracey's situation. Also, it's written in Australian slang, with no index, so you hav eno idea what a lot of the terms and abbreviations are. I do not recommend this book to any reader of any age.

Summary: Terrific!
Review: Although when I read that book, it was June and I was suppose to be studying, this book just drift it out of it. I'd never expect that Tracey is....(I don't want to spoil it) actually someone like that! I was surprised. But the story was kind of short and I'd like to know more about what would have happened when they actually meet each other, instead of just talking in the phone and stuff....I don't really understand what the ending was but I didn't bother to know....Maybe the ending is just like that....I recommend this book to any of you.

Summary: Dear God, what a book!
Review: This book is Fantastic! I won't be able to sleep soundly for weeks. I think I know what happended to Mandy, too. The end nearly gave me a heart attack. I am 13 and a big VC Andrews fan, but this was too much for me. Don't pick this book up until you're every day of 16! I kinda wish Marsden told exactly what happened to Mandy. As for the issue of not knowing what Tracey did, that much didn't bother me. You kinda get the idea that what she did was pretty bad, so it didn't really matter. Anyway, this book was absolutely disturbing. 5 stars really doesn't seem like enough.

Summary: Wow...is all i can say...
Review: This book was suprisingly good, i just couldn't put it down! the author kept you suspenseful till the end...i was in total awe after reading it. I recommand everyone to read it especially teenagers. Since this is the first book that i've read written by John Marsden I'm definitely convinced to read another or even all of his books! This is a MUST read!...bytheway I never knew this book took place in Australia...i always thought it was somewhere in NY (i don't know whatever gave me that thought), i quess i was too into the book to even notice that. :)
