Rating: Summary: Worth a read... Review: SAFE INFORMATION TO THOSE INTERESTED IN READING THIS BOOK: I thought this book was great, the letter format was unique. It started a bit slow/boring but picked up about a 1/3 of the way through. I would recommend it to people over 15, though; some issues are hard to handle and there are some questionable situations. Also, this book is set in Australia, and their English is different from ours, in America. It's still understandable, but sometimes annoying (sorry!)OVERALL COMMENTS This book was well worth the [money] spent on it. I finished it in one sitting. Enjoy it, laugh with it (and some parts *are* cute), and even cry with it. But most importantly, learn from it about the true power of friendship.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Marsden proves himself as one of modern literatures greatest writers with this most impeccable work. Intriguing, humours, sad and confronting, Letters from the Inside will leave you astounded and shaken. Highly recommended. P.S. Hi Binara, my maths tutor! :)
Rating: Summary: interesting, but juvinile. Review: This book is good, but probably for a younger target age than advertised.
Rating: Summary: Letters From the Inside Review: This story is about to girls named Mandy and Tara. TAra puts an ad in the paper as a joke to see if any one will respond to her. One day Mandy looks through the paper and finds the ad. She write to Tara and startes asking her different questions like how old she is, does she have a boyfriend and other questions about her and her family. Everyonce in a while they would have a fight and do different thing - I'm not going to mention them because I don't want to spoil the book for every one who is going to read the book. I enjoyed the book. I would recomend this book to any one between the ages of 12 and older because of some of the language. I enjoyed the book I hope you do to. Everyone should read it or even purchase it. Its the best book ever. I really hope you enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: The BEST book Iv'e EVER read! Review: This is a great book about two young girls who keep in touch through letters for a long period of time. As they write back and forth their once great lives and dreams fall into the truth and the girls' real problems and frustrations soon began to fill the letters. Even though both are from different backgrounds they become great friends. I really love this book because it's writtin in letter format. That's always a great way to get into a book.=) As I read the book I soon found out how I related to the girls' writings to each other. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read! I found once I picked up this book I couldn't put it down, and in a few short hours it was done. This book is mainly for young adults, but I think this would be a good book for anyone!!!!!
Rating: Summary: What I think about The Letters from the Inside Review: The Letters From The In Side By: John Marsden When I read the book I read it all in one day it was such a good book. The one thing I thought was not as good as some of the books that I have read, was the ending, it was okay. What happened was as I was reading along all of a sudden there was the end of the book and the usual telling that everything was going to be okay or what was going to happen in the end never happened. When the last letter came and that was all I was very surprised and disappointed because I did not want the book to end. What kind of happens is that one day there was a girl who lived in Australia and was really board so she put in a add for a pen-pal and when the other girl (the one who is answering the letter in the magazine) rights back, she is lying about everything in her life, because she was in a jail for kids and she wanted to here about a nice and normal family. But the girl who lived in Australia had some problems in her life to. They were about her bigger brother who was really mean. Mean as in dangerous mean like beating her up because she won¡¯t give him the computer. In one the last letters the girls basically say they want to be friends and that they want to meat each other when the one girl gets out of jail.
Rating: Summary: Letter's from the Inside - School Review Review: It was a very in-depth book but it did fall short at the ending. Even though I could of guest the ending maybe there was a better way of ending it. I liked the rest though
Rating: Summary: great Review: This book was a great book about 2 girls getting to know eachother through the exchange of letters. But... it doesnt end there, there is a deep dark secret that one is keeping and it will eventually come out! Will they still be friends after the secret is spilled? you'll just have to read it to find out. Oh and you dont want to miss this on your summer reading list!!!
Rating: Summary: S is for Sequel Review: I really liked this book, but the ending did fall short. However, that is no reason to brand the book as unworthy of reading. The thing that this book needs is a sequel, and for all I know there is one. If so, I will DEFINETELY buy it when I see it. Like all of Marsden's books, such as the Tomorrow, When the War Began series, and his various other works, this book is magnetic and suspenseful. One of the better points of Marsden's writing is his lack of a complete ending. However, as long as the book is followed by a sequel, this shouldn't be viewed as a failure on the author's part.
Rating: Summary: okay but not too special Review: I just finished reading it, and I GUESS that the book was good, but what is up with the end? Did John Marsden get tired of writing? I really liked parts of the book. I could relate to Mandy and Tracey in some parts of the book.I wouldn't reccomend buying it, go check it out at the library if you really want to read it. It's also kind of hard to understand without knowledge of autraillian slang but I like the slang part, makes it more realistic. Maybe a glossary or something of the sort would help readers enjoy the book better? Hope the next book I read is better...
