Rating: Summary: Likeable characters, exciting plot, creative setting Review: The only problem I had with this book was that it wasn't longer. Luckily, there's a sequel :) Luiken created characters that you find yourself incredibly attached to - you feel for them, you hope for them, you cheer for them. I found it interesting that Angel, the main character, spent the whole book trying to fight perfection when that is exactly what most people seek. The overall idea is genius, and Luiken pulls it all together beautifully. I won't give anything away, but I will say that if you love mystery, romance and suspense in a past/present/future setting (you'll have to read it to understand what I mean) then buy this book. You'll love it, and you'll want to read the sequel, which is just as amazing, if not moreso. I'd love to see a third book come out, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that will happen.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: This book (and it's sequel, Silver Eyes) is definitley one of my favorites. It has an intriguing plot and you are hooked in right from the beginning. A wonderful mix of action and suspense, Violet Eyes is a great page turner.
Rating: Summary: WoNdErFuL!!!! Review: this book is my favorite kind of book. it combine a thrilling plot with romance on the side. this book is a definite page turner as angel and micheal go inside their past and learn the true meaning of trust and love.
Rating: Summary: Very, very rad Review: This is the best book I've read in a while. I love the way the author writes; she gives you a little piece of info on something then moves on to a different subject and your hooked. The storyline was so enthralling, true, it was confusing at times but that just added to the intrigue. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel. Oh ya, i almost forgot, thanks Clarissa for posting her web address.
Rating: Summary: An Incredible Novel Review: This novel takes you on the incredible journey of Angel Eastland and Micheal Vallant as they discover more and more about the world they live in and the truths that have been held from them for so long. As the novel twists and turns Angel finds out more and more and you begin to understand things at the same pace, or even a little bit behind Angel. This style of writing is what makes the novel so intriguing. As you come to find that Angel and Micheal aren't where they think they are and that they aren't who they think they are you get twisted into their world. The plot continues to grow in complexity as the story continues and by the end everything fits, even tiny details that are scattered throughout the book, things you wouldn't even look twice at. This is one of those books that is even better the second time you read it because you catch more and more of the details and you can add missing pieces to the seemingly finished puzzle. I promise you, this is a page turner and a true masterpiece with it's mix of romance, action, mystery, and drama.
Rating: Summary: Michaelangelo Review: This was a wonderful book! I recommend it to anyone who loves the Fingerprints series or Everworld. Angel and Michael have always been the smartest and the most athletically gifted people that they knew. When they meet and discover their equality, they instantly become enemies. It takes awhile, but when they realize that the other can help them escape the lie they had been living, Michael and Angel start to cooperate. And when two violet eyed children begin to work togethor, nobody can stop them.
Rating: Summary: Violet Eyes Review: Violet Eyes is an intriguing book about the supernatural in a futuristic world. Angel Eastland is a talented teenager who is capable of succeeding at everything she does. Her only competition is Michael Vallant, who she had always disliked before they had actually met. Whenever Angel's family moved, Michael had already lived there, and he had won many contests and earned numerous trophies before Angel moved to that town. When Angel and Michael met for the first time, they sensed a connection between each other. They both have many talents, share the same fears, and both have violet eyes. Their violet eyes were the result of being created by scientists, who were experimenting with ways to enhance the intelligence of humans. The scientists thought that everyone they created with violet eyes was too intelligent to be classified as human, so they thought of them as a new species. Once the scientists find Michael and Angel, they forced them to live at the Renaissance building. Michael and Angel despised being tested on, and wanted to escape. They know this will be difficult since security cameras covered every inch of the building and there were guards blocking all exits. I thought this book was fascinating, and I would recommend it to people who enjoy reading about the supernatural and like suspense woven into every chapter throughout the story.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: What an amazing book! I mean wow! Angel meets him down at the river. The georgeous boy with the violet eyes. He can keep up with Angel when no one else can. But is it a coincedence... or something else? I give this book six out of five stars!
