Rating: Summary: Third Book in the SVHSY Series Review: "So Cool", the third book in the Sweet Valley High: Senior Year series, primarily revolves around Conner McDermott, the antisocial chic magnet from El Carro H.S. When he gets a gig at the House of Java (where Elizabeth Wakefield works part-time), Conner's good friend Tia Ramirez considers it her duty to help out by secretly promoting his gig, knowing full well he doesn't want all the attention, but believing it's in his best interest. In the meantime, before his Friday night gig, Conner decides to break up with his current fling, Maria Slater, because he's starting to get irritated with her. And although Maria and Elizabeth are good friends, Elizabeth can't help but be excited that's he free again. But will she proceed with her feelings--or has she learned enough about Conner by how cruelly he broke up with Maria that all previous feelings she had for him have vanished? And speaking of being dumped, poor Jessica Wakefield loses two of her supposed best friends (Lila Fowler and Amy Sutton) to Melissa Fox, the insecure basket case whose been spreading false rumors about Jessica ever since she found out that Jess and her boyfriend, Will Simmons, had been seeing each other behind her back. Jessica is later literally dumped on her butt during a cheerleading routine when her above mentioned ex-friends were supposed to catch her in a risky cheer. Things really don't look good for Jessica at all in this series, and her new attitude is a little too out-of-character. The Jessica from the old SVH books wouldn't have allowed Melissa to ruin her reputation this way; the old Jessica would have had a lot more backbone and told Melissa when and where to get off. So what happened?
Rating: Summary: Interesting... Review: Elizabeth likes Conner, but Conner doesn't think she's his type. But Liz is determined to get Conner, even though sometimes she can't stand him. Mellissa is just plain cruel to Jessica. Will wants to defend Jessica, but he's to hung up on Mellissa. Tia acts super cool, and defends Jess. Mellissa, Cherrie, and Gina do some nasty things to Jess. But it agrovates me how Jessica won't stand up for herself. But the whole Jess thing is reall realistic, how rumors can spread and stuff. Mellissa is still spreading rumors about Jessica. I love how Elizabeth helps out Jess with the whole yoga thing. Jess needs to get away from the slut image. She needs to stick up for herself! Will also needs to get up, and just defend Jess already. Anyway, great book.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: Francine Pascal has really out done herself, these books are so awesome, but I cant seem to get a hold of #3!! I cant find it anywhere!! But I think that Conner McDermott is a great guy but he is just too rude to Liz sometimes. But I mean thats what makes this book really cool. I have been trying to get each new one!! I love this series!
Rating: Summary: This book and series is awesome!!!!! Review: I loved this book. The whole Sweet Valley Senior Year series is great. The problems they face are so much more real and you can relate to the characters so much better. I think Liz and Conner need to hook up. And I am so hoping that Jessica finds a way to get away from the "slut" thing. Melissa is so cruel. Tia is awesome. And it's great to see Liz doing other things besides studying all the time. OHHH!!! Another reason to buy this book- the model on the front cover (Conner) is extremely HOTT!!!
Rating: Summary: Is that a spark of Jessica's old personality? Review: I really liked this book. It was my favorite so far. I'm glad Ms. Pascal decided to finally show some of Jessica Wakefield's true colors. And watch out Melissa Fox, when Jessica comes back stronger than ever. I have to say, after this book, I've decided that Tia is one of my favorite characters. I don't think all this Jessica being more like Elizabeth and Elizabeth being more like Jessica will work. THey've tried it before. But it's getting better and better with each book. My boyfriend practically groans at the mention of Wal-Mart, because at the beginning of each month, I'm running there at least twice a week cuz Wally world gets the new Sweet Valley books before anyone else. Anyway, I loved this book.
Rating: Summary: I love'm! Review: I think the new SVH Senior Year books are great. I think they are soooo much more realistic than the other SVH books that I have read (and that's a lot!).
Rating: Summary: OMG Review: omg its very clear that conner has a thing for liz, i mean he writes stone heart for her and is extra nice to her. liz likes him to. poor jess, her life is so messed up and she thinks tia told her onpurpose to go to the wrong place when lila did not tell jessica because melissa did not tell her anything. will is a jerk. conner and liz should be together.
Rating: Summary: Buy It! Review: So Cool is one of the best books I've ever read! Only the other books in the Senior Year series come close to it. I always thought that Jessica could get taught a lesson, but this really is a little extreme. Melissa is... I can't even think of a word to describe her! Will just needs to stop his 'I can't hurt her any more attitude' He should tell Melissa to just get lost! Tia is great. Lila is a total snob - how could she ditch Jess for somebody she's known for one second? Liz is a little dumb sometimes, especially around Conner. JUST BUY IT, GUYS! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Rating: Summary: This book is great! Review: The early books in this series were the best, and this one's no exception. Conner dumps Maria which made me happy cuz I never liked them together anyways, but the way he does it is soooo cruel. Liz takes a quiz in a magazine to see just how obsessed with Conner she is - and he finds it. Jess is still being tormented by Melissa and her followers. Liz convinces her that if she shows up at the pep rally and shows everyone that she doesn't cae what they think then everything will turn around for her and people will forget about the rumors. But Jess never makes it to the pep rally because Melissa tells her the cheeleaders are meeting at her house instead of the gym. Conner has a gig at HOJ where he sings 'Stone Heart', a song he wrote about Liz.
Rating: Summary: Major Improvement!! Review: These books are so much better than the old SVH series because the twins in the old books were perfect. The twins face real life situations in these, and as a whole the series is so much better. Liz and Conner are so great for each other! They better get hooked up!
