Rating: Summary: Thanks Megan! Review: I am lucky enough to have had this very charming book sent to me at the request of the Author. When we were growing up she always told me such vivid and clever stories! When I read The Thief I could hear her voice telling this story too! More stories please, Megan!
Rating: Summary: one word: W O W!!! Review: Turner worked every detail to its fullest extent. The book was so amazing i couldnt put it down.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK!!! MUST READ!!! (sometimes a bit cheesy) Review: This book is great. It is a good book to read for people that dont like reading because you kust cant stop. The part that i didnt like too much is is... well I wont give it away! YOU JUST CANT STOP READING!!!
Rating: Summary: Absolutly Amazing! Review: What a book! The background was given amazingly well, the characters were captivating, and the end was stunning! I couldn't put the book down, and the myths were terrific. A truely wonderful story, with a plot for all ages.
Rating: Summary: I Love It. Review: Very exciting! Beautifully written and a really good plot with some surprising twists. You will never guess what happens at the end. I LOVE surprise endings. And the characters are really, really, really interesting! You will love this book. It's a serious story overall, but also very funny: the author knows exactly how much humor to put into it so it's just right. I can't put into words what this book is like; you have to read it for yourself. Go ahead! (I don't know why some people didn't give it five stars. I can't think what they're talking about when they said they couldn't follow the plot, &c., &c. Oh well, read it anyway)
Rating: Summary: Not Worth It Review: Why anyone would ever give this book a good review is beyond me. I picked it up one day, and expected a good read since it had been a Newbery Honor Book. When I read the first page, I found it interesting and kept going. As it went along, the plot simply got harder and harder to follow. It seemed as though the author got so wrapped up in the details she almost forgot about the central plot. I gave this book two stars only because of those almost too-real details. Overall, I didn't think this book was fully worth all the time I put into reading it. Struggling through the sea of words is a labor in itself, let alone trying to follow it!
Rating: Summary: great Review: it was awsom
Rating: Summary: The thief searches for a lost treasure in a strange cave Review: The king of Greece sends some of his men to find a mysterious treasure. The king wants the treasure, because he is a greedy man who wants everything. He elects not to go find the treasure because he is too much of coward. The thief (Gen) must go along because the king will let him out of jail. Gen had previously bragged about being a thief and was arrested and thrown in jail. The men travel through many countries and meet many people, some who are very nice and some who are terrible. On the way the thief is treated horribly by the other men because all the king cares about is Gen's ability to steal. The men travel to Attolia where they think the treasure is hidden. During the mission,Gen and his companions get to know each other a little better and then the thief is treated with more respect. I thought this book was an average adventure, the plot was not the best because it had a number of different subjects at the begining of the book and I kept getting lost because the plot changed so much. It was never set on just one subject. Towards the end of the book, it got really exciting and then I couldn't stop reading.
Rating: Summary: The Thief is one of the best books I've ever read. Review: It was very detailed and very discriptive. It explained characters, places and feeling extremly well.
Rating: Summary: An action-packed adventure!! Review: The Thief was one of the best books I have read ever. It was full of action and was not boring even for a moment. I liked Gen's personality and how bold he was to the magus.
