Rating: Summary: Awsome! Totally thrilling! Review: I loved the book! It is full of adventure. I could not put itdown and finished it in 2 days. I loved it, I strongly reccomend it toany one! I can't wait to read the sequal and other books by the author.
Rating: Summary: Exciting and Suspenseful! Review: I just finished this book, and I keep thinking about it. It inspires you to go for your dreams, and has just enough of an air of suspense to keep you turning pages, but not scared. Wonderful!
Rating: Summary: My Book is called Downriver Review: My book is called Dkownriver and it is by Will hobbs,it is an adventure book and it is an exciting book. They do alot of of activites, they go rafting and do sports. I would rate this book a 5, because it is a good book. In the book they get lost and hace tto find a way back to the camp, and the yneed to to build fires to stay warm during the night time and to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The next morning they went to eat and nothing was there, something had come and eaten the food. They finally found the fod it was by a bears den,but the food was not all eaten so they had enough left to have something to eat. They had left that morning after eating breakfastand they found the way back
Rating: Summary: it is my #1 book Review: this is the best book it tells how teens really think and tells what they would do in those situations
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS REALLY REALLY INSPIRING!!!! Review: I READ THIS BOOK IN SUMMER SCHOOL AND I REALLY ENJOYED IT. THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK TAUGHT ME TO BE SELF-RELIANT AND TO WORK WITH OTHERS DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION! THIS IS A GREAT BOOK FOR KIDS THAT ARE IN TROUBLE AND DO NOT KNOW THE RESULT OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.
Rating: Summary: Book lost my attention cuz of VERY innacurate climbing info. Review: It seems like a book for teens should be accurate in what it teaches. I'd like to set the climbing info straight: A group of kids would never be allowed to "lead" a climb. Because of the liability, even adult paying customers cannot lead climbs with a guide. (and these kids were climbing without a guide) Jessie supposedly was turned upside down when she fell. It is extremely rare for the leader to be turned upside down in a fall (and always the result of a mistake) and virtually impossible for the second to be turned upside down (Jessie was the second.) Supposedly, her belayer, Freddie, had to strain to keep her on belay. This is wrong. The physics of a hip belay make it very easy to hold someone indefinitely with an easy grip, even someone quite heavy. And what was it supposed to mean, "If he let go, the piton the rope was tied to might hold, it might not." ? The rope would not be tied to a piton. The rope would go from the second to the belayer, and belayer might be tied off to several pitons if this were the 1960's. In fact, pitons have been outlawed in almost all climbing areas since the 1970's, and this story is taking place in the late 80's or early 90's. Minor point -- they had to "hoist" Jessie up until she could get back on the rock. Picture it. Was she on an overhang? I don't think these kids were climbing overhangs. A half hour conversation with any climber would have revealed just how strange this climbing scenario was -- I would suggest a bit more research next time, especially since kids believe what they read in books, and climbing is a dangerous sport and should be reported on accurately.
Rating: Summary: This book was generally OK Review: I read this book and thought it was a good book most of the way through. The only problem I had was the ending. In the last chapter, all these things start happening at once, and to have it all explained to you, you have too read the sequel. I hate books that do that.
Rating: Summary: a classic Review: I read this book about five summers ago and it has alway stuck in my mind as a really good book. It is an inspirational story of how kids can do anything, the kids in the book overcome many challenges.
Rating: Summary: !!!!!!!!!!EUREKA!!!!!!!!!! Review: The best book deserves the best reviews, I often say, and this is it! The author must have been blessed with the idea for this book and followed through with it, because the book is wonderfully magnificent. I was looking through the other reviews, and unlike most of them, I read this book for pleasure. A review sounds really weak if the reviewer had to be prodded to read the book. So don't wait for someone to tell you to read a book, read it on your own!!!!
Rating: Summary: don't do anything bad which is against the law. Review: I have read this book when I was in Mr. Nelmes Reading class. This is the first book that I have read. I love this book because in this book there are nine characters and all characters have done something wrong which are against the law. These all characters are trouble makers. I called this book "Misfits" because everybody in this book have different bad attitude. Will Hobbs who is the author of this book and he describe all the character. And also he describe all the places where characters of this book went. Every characters learn something from this book. My favorite character is Jessie because she is the main character in this book. Samir Patel
