This book is about a 14 year old kid name Francis Alphansoe Tucket.He gests captured by pawnees.Then he meets the Mountain Man,Mr.Grimes. Francis escapes from the Pawnee camp and runs into alot of adventures.I really love this book.I would recomend this ;o 4th and 5th graders.

Review: Have you ever read a book about a boy who survives so many dangerous things? Well if you haven't I would read this series by Gary Paulson. I recomend this book to anyone who likes old stories like the pioneer stories.

This is an action-packed book that entertains as well as educates the reader to the perils that pioneers confronted daily in their quest for adventure and new territories.

Review: I can not imagine anyone not enjoying this book! When I read it aloud to my 8 year old son he was very upset to finish the last chapter, he did not want the book to end, because it was "totally awesome"(in his words). We are "pleased as pie" to find out there are more in the series. Looking forward to much quality time spent sharing these books with my son. Thank you Mr. Paulsen, books of this quality are few and far between.

Such as getting captured by indian and he also meets this guy Mr. Grimes. I really liked the book and I think you will enjoy it too.

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading Mr. Tucket by Gary Paulsen. In this book, Francis Tucket is given a rifle for his birthday. The Tucket family is heading for Oregon on the trail during the 1800's. When he falls to far behind the wagon train to practice shooting the rifle, he is captured by Pawnee Indians. Then, Mr. Grimes, a one-armed mountain man beaver trapper rescues Francis. Through the rest of the book, Mr. Tucket travels with Mr. Grimes. The ending of the book is quite surprising, though. You will have to read Mr. Tucket to find out what happens. This book is good for people who like reading about fur trappers and if you like the other books by Gary Paulsen, you will probably like this one. This ties in with westward expansion and that whole period of history. You will probably enjoy this book if you like reading about this time period, too. I would recommend this book to 6 grades through adult readers because you have to know about westward expansion and the time period to fully understand the book. I hope you will enjoy the book as much as I did!

Review: In the book, Mr. Tucket, Francis Tucket is on the Oregon Trail with his friends and family. For his birthday, his dad gets him a Lancaster rifle. Later Francis stays back a bit to try it out. When he does, Pawnees capture him. When Francis arrives, he meets a mountain man named Jason Grimes who helps him escape. If you like action or adventure stories, you would like this book by Gary Paulsen.
