Summary: what a way to start a series.
Review: this book was sad and exciting at the same time. i always wondered why joe had to lose his girlfriend right in the beginning, but as i kept reading i really wanted the hardys to kick the assassins' butts. this is one of the books that got me hooked to the series in the sixth grade and i've been reading them eversince.

Review: This book was sad because Joe lost the love of his life .Joe is really saddemd by this but soon he and Frank are trying to find the murder and getting into more and more trouble. This is one of my favorite books. I've read it about six times . It keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end .

Summary: The casefiles have far more action than the originals.
Review: This fact is punctuated by Iola Morton, Joe's girlfriend,being killed on the very first line of the very first page of the very first book in the series. I cried the first time I read it. (Unfortunatly, I was at school. That didn't do much for my rep.) The Hardy's first contact with the mysterious Gray Man was in this book, which has lead to many other action packed stories. Personaly, I think that Iola Morton is alive some where. That's not going to be fun for Joe, having to explain Vanessa to her.

Summary: EXPLOSIVE!
Review: This is the very first casefile, the one that set a high standard for the ones to come. After reading the mundane 'digest' stories, this came as quite a shock - imagine, one chapter into the book and a major character killed! I absolutely loved this book - shed a few tears over it too. Action, belivable plotlines and a very captivating atmosphere. A must have for your permenant collection.

Review: What a hotshot book.Although at the beginning I felt sad as I read on I was hooked.The Bullet plants a bomb in the Hardy car and Iola is killed.Joe and Frank track him down I do not want to tell you more because it would be iresponsible.

Summary: Definitely a great start to the casefiles!
Review: When I first read this book years ago, I felt saddened at the death of Joe's girlfriend, Iola. I enjoyed the book thoroughly, especially the parts where the action heated up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the terrorist in the end never got true justice.
