Rating: Summary: Very good but, focuses too much on Liz.... Review: Thinking that she was going to have a nice but dull summer Elizabeth's surprised to hear that she has won a scholarship to produce and direct her own play in New York. Overjoyed, she rushes to tell Tom, only to realise that she'll have to sacrifice her summer of spending quality time with him.Tom realises her dilemma and after chastising himself for pressuring Elizabeth to give up the chance, he decides to sacrifice his own internship to be with his girlfriend. Unfortunately, things don't turn out the way they planned; Elizabeth feels lost in the big city and intimidated by her fellow playwrights (who are pretentious snobs). She also feels that her relationship with Tom is moving way too fast. Tom, on the other hand, is acting like a BMOC (Big Man In The City) as he keeps reminding Liz that she 'owes' it to him to lose her virginity. His failure to find another internship seems to be preventing him from proving himself as an independent and mature 'man'. Meanwhile, Jessica deluded with visions of grandeur by the fact that she's enrolling into the FSSA (a program which trains people to be bodyguards, etc) is under the impression that she's going to be the next Lara Croft. Unfortunately, she seems to have met her match in Sgt. Vanessa T. Pruitt a drill sargeant who seems to think that she IS Lara Croft. The book definitely has its amusing moments (especially when it focuses on Jessica) but tends to drift mainly between Liz and Tom's trains of thought. This is where it gets slightly tedious, not that I blame Liz for being stressed - I don't think I could handle it if my boyfriend kept pressuring me into something that I wasn't ready for (good for Liz!) Other than that, it's definitely a well-written book. Can't wait to read the next one: Private Jessica - she rocks!
Rating: Summary: GO LIZ!! Review: This book certainly has good romantic scenes. Liz and Tom have a good relatoinship... so why not go all the way, but I was glad Liz struck up for herself. Don't worry Tom, the right time will come. And Jessica, silly Jessica. She in trouble agian, no shocker there. I hope she shows that drill sargent what is good for her. I can't wait for the next book, a definite must read
Rating: Summary: This was an eventful book for Elizabeth & Jessica. Review: This book has many ups and downs for Elizabeth, but I think it should have evened out the focus on Jessica and Elizabeth instead of mostly on Elizabeth. Jessica is off at at FSSA a secret agent training compund that is giving her trouble. Elizabeth is in New York producing her play on fellowship where Tom is pressuring her into doing something which she doesn't want to. Elizabeth's producer is practically bossing her around and Jessica's seargent is a pain in the butt. Maybe they'll both escape it before their end.
Rating: Summary: One of the best! Review: This book is really catchy. First, Liz wants to do it, then she changes her mind and doesn't do it. Reading books after this, I realize that she made the right choice.
Rating: Summary: It was like no other Sweet Valley University Book Review: This book was da bomb, Elizabeth and Tom should have done it though. They have been through a lot and I think that they are ready for it. Tom however seemed to be in too much of a hurry and Elizabeth was being indecisive. Doesn't she know that she almost sento him crazy. Well as for Jessica, she will beat Seargent Pruitt or her name isn't Jessica Wakefield. That is what I like about her character. All in all the book was great and I hope that what is to come is even better.
Rating: Summary: I as a big fan thought the book was pretty good. Review: This book was pretty exciting, you weren't sure if Elizabeth was going to give into presure or not. Plus it should that even though Elizabeth had a lot on her mind, she was still able to put herself together and say NO to Tom,but I also thought that it was wrong of tom and Elizabeth to keep secrets from eachother. They should have told eachother what they thought. I loved in this book how Jessica was able to stand up to that mean old witch. She showed everyone what she was made of and that she wasn't gonna take no crap from anyone. She was very brave and independent in this novel. I liked in the end how Jessica challanged that woman not knowing that she was a gold glove boxing champion. I think Jessica can beat her if she puts her mind to it.
Rating: Summary: What happened to Nick Fox???? Review: What happened to the GORGEOUS Nick Fox?? He and Jessica were meant to be together!! No offence to Elizabeth but she is only good when she is with Jessica and she is not so good whan she is by herself or with Tom. Jessica is truely and naturally, funny and exciting but the what happened to Detective Fox. Its like all of a ssudden he dissappeared. The story never said that he was a ghost and besides romance with Jessica is really funny! To all the readers who like Elizabeth more than Jessica you will like this book more but I like the character of jessica's more.
