EVERYONE CAN RELATE BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE BEEN IN LOVE BEFORE AND WE ALL HAD OUR HEARTS BROKEN. ALEX HARISTON OUT DID HIMSELF WITH THIS BOOK, HE WASNT AFRAID TO CROSS BOUNDARIES AND MAKE NEW ONES. Summary: Great Coming of Age Novel!!
Review: Alex did a wonderful job putting this story together, not only for avid readers, but for poetry lovers as well. The plot takes readers on a journey with main character, Eric, showing his rollercoaster ride with love and heartache. It also has a very important lesson about being careful how you treat people; This story will make you laugh, cry and applaud. I can't wait to see what Alex will come up next.

Review: Eric symbolizes both male and female characteristics. He learns, he loves, he lets go, and he lives. Through experiencing life he meets the women who molded him: Monica, Stacey, Candie. Eric reached a turning point, that's what all of us aspire to do. Whether good or bad, a decision is made. A line is crossed or the circle of deciet continues. Eric got out of the circle and embraced life. Marvelous Alex, can't wait for the next one.

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: Extraordinary, amazing, funny, realistic, touching and by far the best novel ever published. The author focuses on one main character, Eric, but uses other characters that help him experience, grow and learn about the hard lessons of life and love. Eric has to continually find a balance between who and what he loves the most and doing the right thing. At the end, the different phases of life and experiences has allowed him to become the man he ultimately wants and knows he can be. This novel touches you in some many ways. From the very realistic life experiences to the very visual scenes you are transformed to visualize in your mind. I loved the oh so very enticing moments the book had as well as the very descriptive words used by the characters. The characters were so real life to me that sometimes I put myself in the novel and somehow experienced what was going on. Mr. Alex Hairston is commended for his excellent novel because
he is truly an author that is nothing less than amazing.

Review: I agree with at least three others who reviewed the book, I thought the book would be better suited for the 16 to 22 year old crowd, but I don't think I would want my 16 or 19 year old sons to read it either. I find myself getting impatient with it, or maybe I've forgotten what it feels like to be seventeen. It pays to read the reviews.!!!!!!!!!

Summary: A TERRIBLE read!
Review: I cant believe how many people thought that this book was good! It was THE WORST book I have ever read! I saw this book in the bookstore and I read the back. The back makes the book sound like its going to be good. Like it has some depth...and what do you get??? Some boy talking about all the women he has slept with. Not to mention the fact that he thinks he's in love with every woman who falls in his line of sight. Its ridiculous! The back of the book focused on the fact that he falls in love with his best friends wife..so im thinking the story is going to focus on the ups and downs of that dilemma...and he doesnt even meet the girl until there are 20 pages left in the book. During the last twenty pages Eric proceeds to fall in love with his 'soulmate' (despite the fact that he thought this throughout the WHOLE book about ten other women) and sleep with her, break off from her and then the book ends. No structure. No flow. No nothing. Just a HUGE disappointment. This book wasnt even good enough to be a coaster after I was done with it. It just went right in the trash.

Review: I got this book because I read the reviews online. I purchased the book at about 5pm on Saturday and finished reading it by 5 pm on Sunday. It was a quick read, but the characters lacked depth. I was very disappointed that two-thirds of the book focused on childhood puppy-love while only the last third focused on adult relationships. The ending was HORRIBLE.

Review: I loved this book from beginning to the end! Alex Hairston did a great job. I laughed, I cried, and laughed some more. I loved Eric's character. When you read it, you'll see why the women loved him too. The poetry in this book blows you away. Just an overall great book to read! I truly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. Thanks Alex Hairston, I look forward to reading future work from you! Excellent Job!

Summary: Awful!
Review: I must not fit the demographic profile for this book (40 year old female). Maybe this book is meant for the teenager to 20ish crowd. I am almost finshed thankfully. It's not that I like the book, but I have to finish what I start no matter how bad. The story line is really good but the writing seems almost elementary school level. I hope as "Eric" ages, the writing matures. I have to say that this is one of the worst books I have ever read! Whew!!!

Summary: Poorly developed main character
Review: I read the book. The whole book. I think Alex was trying to show that not all stories end happily ever after. But at the same time, I think its important to show the lesson learned in the story. This book basically starts off with a man who admits he can't commit to a monogamous relationship. It goes into his life about how he really learned about sex in a less than nurturing kind of way. It ends up with him having fantasys about his friend's wife. (I won't go into the ending out of respect for the writer), but I thought it ended in a way that made me say -- this person has not developed from the way he was first introduced. The side characters or his string of women, were more dynamic than the main character. Alex is right though, some people don't ever change their habits, ways, etc. But if I wanted that much reality, I would have bought a biography. Great cover though. Jesse
