Review: This book is scary, but awesome book with a mystery. It is about a 17 year old girl ( The main character) who lives with her aunt since her parents died. She also lives with Sarah, a very popular girl her age, known to some a tramp. It all happened when some one told the main charactor that a new girl who claims that she can put on seances is inviting people to come over. Sarah came, too. When they turn out the lights Sarah begins to feel strange, and then all of a sudden she disapears. They go to check the doors, but they are still locked. The mystery is: Who unlocked the doors? But even more of a mystery: Who killed Sarah and left her body in the woods? And later: Who killed the new girl who put on the seance? You'll never believe who did it! You'll be trying to find out right along with the main character!

Review: This book is the best mystery book I have read. I found it interesting that a person dissapers. I al so liked Joan Lowry Nixons style of writing. I liked the discriptive words and cliffhangers. I have read the bokk 3 times. I love this book.

Summary: A fast-paced THRILLER!
Review: This book was an awesome book. It was way better than the other book I read by her, "The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore." It even scared me a couple of times. I would've given it 4.5*, but I couldn't. I give this a 9 of a 10. And who the killer is, is so funny and unpredictable. Buy this book. It's worth it.

Review: this book was ok!! well it was cool!! it had lots of interessting parts! like when the "cool" girl dissapeard! it was weird but cool! i think Joan Lowery Nixon is a very talented writer and should write much more books so that we can enjoy readin them as much as she loves writting them!! lol

Review: This is a great book from Joan Lowery Nixon. I haven't read a book yet that hasn't been bad at all. In this book, Lauren does a seance with her friends and a person that is kind of her sister. Well, they all think that it's just fun and games, but it isn't fun at all when people start to go missing and found up later dead. I reccomend this book to all people, especially people who like mysteries.

Review: This is the first book I've read that is by Joan Lowery Nixon. She's a great author. In The Seance, a group of seventeen-year-old's are going to hold a seance. One girl strangely disappears during the seance and is found dead - murdered - in the Thicket. When another girl from the seance is found murdered, Lauren is afraid that she's next.

Review: This story is a very well written book, that keeps you reading. No dead spots that make you want to put the book down. An surprising and spine chilling ending!

Review: when they did the seance, that was one of the exciting parts. but then i think it was a little boring. but the end was *excellent* i never expected the ------ to be ----------- but i will tell you that some of the parts are pretty boring, but it was great in certain parts.
