Review: If you like mysteries(or any other book for that matter) then you'll love this exillerating book. This is the best book I've ever read. If you haven't read it, you need to. This is a fasinating book to all ages. (Not to mention an easy reader! )

Summary: severely scary, super- sweating page-gripping story
Review: Lauren lives with her great Aunt mel and sara, the most beautiful senior in her high school. Sara lives with her only as foster faimly. When sara tells a group of girls including Lauren, Allie (lauren's best friend), maddie, Dana, and luemma that the quiet roberta has physicic powers and can communicate, they decide to have a seance just for a game. when they do, Sara dissapears after the candle goes out. Everything was locked. a couple of days later, they find her body-- in a creek after she had drowned. only days after her funeral and everything, another girl from the group dies. soon, everyone is getting strange phone calls and frightening letters. Will Lauren be the next victim? I give this novel 5 stars because I sweat through the whole book. I couldn't sleep the night after because of it!

Summary: Tiwisted ending, Insane Town, Mysterious Characters
Review: Suspense, fear, and wonder are what you get by reading The Séance by Lois Lowery Nixon. This mystery books has to do with a bunch of senior girls who go to this other girls home looking for a little fun, which ends with a night with the sheriff. During The séance, her friend Sarah goes missing, even when all the doors and windows are locked. Then her body turns up in the Thicket a few days later send Lauren and her friends into a frenzy of fear.
Suspense of a book leaves you on the edge of your seat. In this book there were many times when after you finished reading a chapter you wanted to keep reading. For example, "Sara Martin," the sheriff said. "A hunter drove in from the Thicket a few minutes ago. He's got Sara's body in the back of his pickup!" This part made the story interesting in many ways, first because you think, how was Sarah killed? That keeps you wondering for the whole book until the end.
Another factor is fear, fear is one of the factors that makes a murder mystery very good. The fear of knowing that you don't know what is going to happen, that help a high standard of fear. One example was given by Sara Martin before she went missing was, "No!" Sara said. "There's something wrong here!" So then she began to shake, "There's something terrible! Don't you feel it?" This made the plot more gut wrenching and twisted.
One other factor is wonder, you always wondered what would happen next, that makes a story great, especially a murder mystery great. The stories plot put you into a question every time you read it. When you find out that Sarah has disappeared you sit there thinking, what has happened to Sara, especially when someone else at that séance goes missing as well. Would the sheriff figure it out or would they not find out at all until all the girls that were there are dead?
The Séance is filled with suspense, fear, and wonder, which keeps your nerves, twisted. My favorite part of this book is when you find out what really happened at the séance, that kind of gives you a bit of relief. There really wasn't any part in this piece of literature that I didn't enjoy, but the ending could have been changed just a little bit, I wont tell you how because I don't want to give it away. If you are a young adult of any age and enjoys a good mystery then this book suits you. It is filled with mystery, which intrigues that mind of young adults.

Summary: The Seance
Review: The book the seance is about a girl named Lauren and she lives with a step mother named Mel and she also has a step sister named Sara. She is high school when her and a couple of freinds that theres a girl at there school with a schycic ability to contact the dead. Thats when they plan to have a seance. That's when everything starts to go wrong. The morning after the seance is when they find the body of one of the girls that are at the seance. Read the book to find out because im not going to tell you.

Review: This book is a fast moving, intresting book. I think that Joan Lowerly Nixon is an *excellent* athour and if you have not read any of her books yet I would go and out and read one. You will soon be addicted and want to read all of them.

Summary: Keeps you up at night! RACHELE
Review: This book is excellent! There's not a single thing about this book that I would even consider changing! I read it a couple of years ago and yet I still think about it sometimes! I love reading and this book is one of the reasons I read so much! It has a perfect starting and an even better ending. The ending shocked me, it was so unexpected! If you like suspense and mystery, this one's for you!
