Review: I LIKED THIS BOOK BECAUSE OF IT'S DETAILS AND EXPRESSCION. JONATHON HAD A DREAM TO GO INTO BATTLE. HE FOLLOWED THAT DREAM. BUT NOW I THINK HE NEVER WANTS TO DO IT AGIAN. READING THIS BOOK MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS IN THAT PERIOD OF TIME. I COULD IMAGINE BEING AFRIAD TO MARCH CLOSER AND CLOSER TO THE ENIMIE.THIS IS A REALLY GOOD BOOK!

Review: The fighting ground was a very good book because there was a lot of action, and it showed how slow time was passing for the main character, Jonathan. Jonathan wanted to go to war but during the day, Jonathan gets to the fighting ground and then he learns that war is not good. He dosn't want to kill.

Review: I gave this book four stars because it was a great book all of the time! There was rarely a dull moment during this book. Avi described the characters very vividly. He is a great author and writer which makes his books come to life.While I read this book I felt like it was all happening in front ofmy eyes that is what I enjoyed. I would definetly recommend this book to most ages!

Review: It told me how one battle could effect people just as much as a big battle. When John went to battle he thought it was a game and he was going to beat the bad guys. He thought it was going to be fun when it was his worst nightmare of pain, hardship, and hot lead.

Review: I didn't like the part when the corporal left his people behind in the war. I did like the part when the tavern guy gave Johnathan the gun because he had to go to the war and that he was nice.I also liked the part when Jonathan found the boy becausehe would have died and if Johnatan had not saved him the boy would be very alone.This book is good and everybody should read it because it teaches you not to go to the war with people bigger and older than you and never abandond your parents even if it's something you like.

Review: I did not like how the begining started because it jumped right into the action right away.But iI did like the end of the book because I thought Jonothan's dad was goingto be mad at him for going in to battle but he was.That means I love happy endings.some things were ridiculis.Like when Jonothan surrendered to the hessians. But otherwise I liked the book!

Review: I liked this book because the author was realy exilent descrbtion of the charectors and the senere or how the charectors feeling. But I only gave it 4 stars because it had good describtion but I didn't realy like the war thing and everyone of Jonathan friends or, people deing. It wasn't what I expected,it was an anti-war,and nobody liked it.

Review: I give this book only 3 stars because I didn't really get into it very much. Everything went by rapidly. One thing I did enjoy about THE FIGHTING GROUND, was that every character expressed a different amount of emotion and feeling. It described most of the things everyone was experiencing.And it showed real feelings that a person in Jonathans situation would be having. I liked most of it, but some of it wasn't really what I expected it to be. I also liked that it had the same opinion as myself. It represented an anti-war book.
