Summary: An Action Packed Historical Novlel
Review: How would you feel if you were in the middle of the revilutionary war. this book called the Fightin Ground written by avi is avery sutible book . In the begiing the book had a slow start but then it started to rise to the climax very quike.

A young boy named Jonathon whos thirteen yrs old wich he sings up to fight withthe Millitia against the Hessians. Jonathon is not very skillful when it comes to fighting.

I reccomend this book because it showd alittle about the war. This book had alot of action in it. I aspecily liked this book because it will leave you hanging at the end of each chapter. The book will make you want to keep on reading.

Summary: Outstanding Historal Fiction War Novel
Review: Do you want to fight in a bloody battle or fight in a war? Well Jonathan did. If you do you should read The Fighting Ground, by Avi. This book is an amazing novel. Like I said I would recommed this book to people who love war. This book will change your mind.

Jonathan learns a lesson the hard way he doesn't listen to his parents and ends up in even more convenience. Jonathat changed a lot in the novel. He finally learns to listen to his parents and ends up hating war. In this novel Jonathan has a enemy which is himself, For not listening to his parent and made lots of lies up.

I would recommed this book for all ages. It changed my mind about war. This was one of the best novels I ever read. I like the way Avi speaks, makes the people in the book seem real. Avi is great at picks spot there so unqnie.

Summary: Middle being the best
Review: This book was actually really good. It took awhile for me to get into it though. This thirteen year old boy enroles in the army, and he is acepted. Then when he gets into the battle he gets captured by the Hessians. Through this he discovers what the war that he wanted to be in so badly was really like. All in all, it was a good book and I recommend it to anyone.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: An OK book for all ages.
Review: Overall, I think The Fighting Ground was an okay book. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. The plot took place over a 48-hour period, which made things a little more suspenseful. The plot was about a boy, Jonathan, who was very anxious to go to war against the British. As the time came, he went to go fight, ignoring his parents telling him not to, and ended up fighting the Hessians, not the British. In the end, I found the book to be slightly boring but if you're an avid Avi reader, you'll probably enjoy this book. Also anyone that enjoys reading about the Revolutionary War would probably like it.

Review: We had to read this 50 page "novel" for English. I don't know anyone who enjoyed this 5-week torture book. I enjoy Avi's stuff, but come on! Give me a break!! DON'T BUY THIS!!! -A disgusted young author who's expecting better things from this particular writer.

Summary: An Alright Novel
Review: The Fighting Ground by Avi wasn't all that I expected it to be. The back of the book describes it to be an action packed novel about a little boy named Jonathon whose father got wounded in a battle because he fought in the French and Indian War. So when the Hessians come to Trenton, Jonathon goes to fight in place of his dad. Although his dad is not aware that he is fighting, when all the other townsmen ask he says that his dad told him to come. I recommend this book to children who love war novels. ...

Summary: the fighting ground reveiw
Review: I thought that the fighting ground was exciting and, mysterious in a weird way. it had some twists that left you wondering, what would happen next, or you would think that the main character(who is jonothan) would die, or get really hurt. all in all The fighting ground was one of my favorite books that I have ever read. I think that the fighting ground is a book that never gets boring, or dull when you read it for the secound time.

Summary: The Fighting Ground
Review: The book was easy to read and not very long. This story gives you an image in you mind. The book kept me thinking at the end i wonder will jonathan live to see another day. the book was not that action pact for a war book.

he may be thirteen but he can handle a gun and the is ready to fight the british. he did chicken out and run, but he belives in what he is fighting for. he went to war without relizing what he would go through. his dad was well informed about war and what his son would go through because he has been there. jonathan is a brave person and he went through alot for a boy my age.

Summary: Not the most Exciting Book
Review: The Fighting Ground is about a boy named Jonathan who wants to join the Continental army during the Revolutionary War. His father had recently been wounded in the war and was sent home. One day Jonathan decided he would just join without his father's permission. His group was going on a march to meet some Hessians(German Soldiers paid to fight in the war) that was coming to his town. They meet the Hessians and Jonathan gets scared and runs away thinking that they lost the battle. He gets captured by 3 Hessians coming to look for him and gets into a mess of trouble with following with some misfortunate and fortunate events. Overall the book was okay but not as interesting as I would like.
