Summary: The Fox hunts a good book down!
Review: "What is that?" Ned Wallis asks himself as he shoots a gun. He got it on his 11th birthday. He shot it at a shadow. He's not supposed to be using it, however!
On the way home, he sees a mysterious face looking down at him. Who is he? What will he do? Ned is even more scared when, helping Mr. Scully, he sees a cat-with one eye missing...
Was this what Ned shot at? Will he tell his parents? Or will they find out themselves? P.S. If you like this book, read Holes by Louis Sachar.

Summary: El Cajon
Review: 11 year old Ned Wallis is looking for rifle in the attic. But nhe can not resist taking for a test run, before he knows he shoots the gun in moonlight dark. Ned lives in a small town in New York and his father is a minister's son. I like that this book should have got a 4 stars becase it has a good moral. When Ned returns to his house he see in the attic face looking down from the window. One day when Ned was helping his older neighborhe spots a one eyed cat he thinks about want he had shot that night. Can Ned keep or tell his awful secert.

Summary: A Great Family Book
Review: As a 7th Grader, I like books that will have me keep reading and never want to stop! One-Eyed Cat is definitely one of those books! With humor, adventure and tragedies One-Eyed Cat is loved by kids my age and is great for the whole family! Reading this book helps you understand the real qualities and tragedies of life. One-Eyed Cat teaches a great lesson you will never forget!

Summary: Hard to pick up but interesting
Review: As I said, the story's hard to pick up (because of the long paragraphs which capture the details well... too well...), but it progresses (?) and the story becomes more interesting. The story actually feels more realistic with the details (I know I'm always going on about so-called reality), even if they are boring to read (if you feel that way).
The plot itself is interesting enough. The one-eyed cat may not have done much in the story, besides earning the interest of Ned, Mr. Scully and the readers, but it really is a good story.
Reading the book... it felt long, slow, but interesting.

Summary: Help Ned Share His feelings
Review: Bang! A gun fires, footsteps, then a door shuts. One Eyed Cat by Paula Fox is an exciting story of a boy who secretly takes his air rifle from the attic. Outside he shoots it just one time. Little does he know that a cat would be his victim. This book deserves a five star rating, because it is a great story with a good moral. It is a story of how ned feels alone because of his secret about shooting thecat. In the end, sharing his secret isn't relly that bad, because many other people have secrets they are hidding, too. It is a wellwritten book with an intersting story and realistic characters. Paula Fox relly makes you feel like a part of the story. I would definitely recommend this book.

Summary: A really really boring book
Review: Dont waste that time. I had to take a test on that book for school and it was so boring i couldnt remember what happened. If you are as boring as a rock you might like this book. Anyways I couldnt remember anything and I got a 50% on my test. There was way to many suttle adjectives. It needed more of a plot than a cat getting shot in the eye by a little bratty boy.

Summary: I THOUGHT THAT THE BOOK WAS NOT DEVELOPED WELL.
Review: I felt that the One-EyedCat was OK. But they did not tell a whole lot about the cat. Perhaps it was not developed properly.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It was kind of good and kind of boring
Review: I liked this book because it was strange , the charecters were good. Some parts were kind of scary. It was interesting, and it was mysterious. What i did not like about this book was some parts were, the cat was shot, some parts i did not understand. It was to lonk and things were always changing topics.I think older kids would enjoy this book better because it is harder to understand.

Summary: This was a great book!!!
Review: I thought this book was great! I love how in the end, Ned came out truthful, confessing everything that he had held back from his parents, that his parents deserved to know. Great Job Paula!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: I thought this book was OK.
Review: I thought this book was OK, but really, I can say I have read better. To begin with, this is one of those books that move slowly for most of the book, but near the end begin to speed up. But, unfortunately for me, I did not quite understand the end, and that left me thinking, "So, what happens next?" Aside from that, the characters were well drawn, and the scenery was perfect for the story. "The story requires some after-thought." -Katie Manning/American School In Japan
