Summary: Danger Zone
Review: Danger zone is about doing something you love. Everything has a problem mixed in with it. In this case, the love is basketball. The problem is racism.
The book has many twists and turns that push you in one direction, then lead you into another. It has everything anyone would want to look for in a book. Love, hate, and basketball. The author describes the game in great detail. It makes you think that he must know a great deal about what he's writing about.
It's fun to get a peek about what a sports star lives like. Bulging crowds, hostile onlookers, and a silent bodyguard guiding you to your limo. The author describes the book perfectly, and I wouldn't change anything in it.

Summary: An good story on racism, which was spiced up by basketball.
Review: Danger Zone was the best sports book I have ever read. It was about Jimmy Doyle, a kid from a small town in Minnesota. He's just a normal guy, but he has a great shooting touch. His life is turned topsy turvy when some basketball scouts come and decide to put him on the American Teen Dream Team, to play in an international basketball tournement in Europe. However, he finds it hard to gain acceptance on the team which is almost exclusively black. Things then become very complicated when a death threat is sent to them by white supremists because of racial comments by the team's star player, Augustus LeMay. Jimmy struggles to survive in this envirnment of racism and hatred.

Summary: the best book
Review: Have you ever felt like you were the best player on basketball team, but then go to a better team and find out that you were one of the worst on the team? Then you would love this book. This book teaches you about life and some of the problems with racism and the problems in other countrys. This fantastic story is from the point of view of the main character Jim. He is a white bred town boy from minesota who goes to a team with the best players in the country who are mostly black. My favorite character personally was Augustus who was the best player in the country. He had a lot of problems with the main character jim but he was still a cool guy. What really kept me in the book were the basketball games. Also what happened in the games too. But I wont tell you that. The end of the book is totally awsome so go get this book now and read it.

Summary: Awsome book for all readers!
Review: I am a teacher of 6th grade students with all reading levels. This novel was a hit across the board. They loved the sport elements along with the danger and suspense. The book also has a twist of racism and helps the readers to understand the need for equality. Great launching point for discussions of Martin Luther King and Malcom X.

Summary: Danger Zone
Review: I just read Danger Zone over the summer and really enjoyed it. I was up half the night reading because I got caught up in the book. Besides being about basketball I really thought it was a good story about becoming a better friend and knowing about people unlike you. The book was amazing and I would recomend it to anyone who wants to read a good book!

Summary: Danger Zone
Review: I recently read Danger Zone, which I thought was very exciting because it was filled with basketball action. It starts out with Jim playing basketball for his high School where he is the big star. Later, his talent is found by two recruiters. They invite Jim to play on the Teen Dream Team which will travel to Europe to play in a tournament. When they are in Europe the team runs into trouble with the local people. I thought this book was great if you are into sports.

Summary: Danger Zone was excellent.
Review: I thought the book title went well with the book. The danger stood for the player's lives because in Danger Zone the character's lives are in danger. The zone stood for when the main character, Jimmy Doyle, and a supporting character, Augustus LeMay, were on fire during the last game. This basically means they made every shot they put up. Firstly, the book kept me on my toes. During the games the U.S. team played the author would write everything in detail. It was like every shot and every basket was another point for the good guys. That was one thing I like when an author rights in great detail. Secondly, all the characters came to life. It was like when the reader read the book the characters came out of the book and were performing the scene right from the book in front of the reader's eyes. Every new chapter brought another piece of the puzzle to the puzzle. Thirdly, I thought the book was just great. It had everything in a book that I qualify for a great time. One main quality that was good was that the plot was different. It had a twist of solving the conflict. Also it threw in some other little problems to take the players off their game. I thought that was perfect because it made the characters come over something that was troubling them. For one of the characters, Jimmy, he had to overcome the fear of his father that haunted him. That was smart on the author's part. In conclusion, I would recommend this book almost to everybody. I would definitely recommend this book to sports fans. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who despise sports. Lastly, Danger Zone was excellent.
