Rating: Summary: Alice Alone=Awesome!!!!!!! Review: Oh my gosh! You have to read "Alice Alone" by Phyllis Rynolds Naylor! It was an awesome book! It is perfect for teens or pre-teens. The reason why is it deals with situations and conversations that girls my age have to deal with! And it's fun to read about Patrick and Alice's off and on relationship and Elizabeth, Pamela, and Alice's friendship! That's why I think that you will LOVE this book as much as I did!
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: Once again, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor has created another masterpiece. It's amazing how realistic Alice is, and this book is simply wonderful. It inspired me to read the entire series in one night, from the Agony of Alice to Alice Alone. Also, it says on the back that the last book is a look at Alice's life from 18 to 60. What do you want to bet that when she's sixty she'll look back on that letter from All but Alice? Anyway, it was a wonderful book and Alice fans will love it.

Rating: Summary: What a little ... Review: Penny is totally...yeah I know! I mean I know you can survive life without a boyfriend but it would be nice to be kissed and someone caring, protecting you, rubbing your arm when your upset, ya know? I didn't dare cry when I read this but after I heard the song "Your a dream come true" I cried so much my brain hurt. I found myself saying to myself "Iam sorry everyone who lost someone to someone else. Iam sooo sorry" and even though Alice will survive, she needs some love not the kind of love and care from her friends and family but true love. Even though you can be happy without being with someone, it's nice to have a feeling that your protected by sexual-boyfriend kind of love. I will tell you what happend on it: Patrick chose Penny over Alice, and Elizabeth's secret is she was molested when she was seven.
Rating: Summary: 13 is not an unlucky number! Review: Phyllis Reynolds has now written 13 Alice books and every one is better than the last. Alice Alone was a very quick read because I enjoyed it so much. The only problem I had with this book is that Patrick didn't seem sad at all. Here Alice is, crying her heart out, having her friends start a suicide watch for pete's sake, and Patrick starts kissing Penny almost immediatly after they break up. And I really liked him. I found the whole thanksgiving/cons plot line rather boring and pointless (Alice time) and Lester was hardly even in this book. Phyllis should keep treking with these books (I'll be 27 by the time she writes the last book!) but please don't put Alice with Sam. I don't like him for some reason. Whenever I read about him, I feel kind of sick. But Alice should date other guys. Maybe someone new? Mark? Brian? Donald Sheavers? I liked Alice Alone, but I enjoyed other Alice books more, I think. Just read it and make up your own mind.
Rating: Summary: Alice is always satisfying Review: Phyllis Reynolds Naylor has done it again, writing an exceptionally poignant story on Alice, her friends, and her relationships with others and herself. As Alice enters high school, she begins to realize that not everything will stay the same as it had in middle school. A new girl at school, Penny, becomes interested in Patrick, and her self-esteem about everything begins to diminish. Over the course of this book, Alice learns to trust her friends and herself. Phyllis Reynolds Naylor has managed to write yet another Alice book (thirteenth in the series) without making Alice shallow or self-absorbed, like most teens are portrayed in the media today. The consistency is what makes these books so attractive to young readers.
Rating: Summary: A Girls LIfe Review: The novel Alice Alone is about a girl named Alice going through high school life. It's Alice's first year in high school and it's all starting out great. She has her best friends Pamela and Elizabeth and her boyfriend Patrick. Patrick and Alice had been together for two years. But when a new girl comes to school and has a crush on Patrick it all changes. Penny is the new girl in school and is very petite and pretty and from what people tell Alice, Penny is very fun and very hyper. Alice has a coed sleepover and invites Patrick, Penny, Elizabeth, Pamela and a few others. At this Party Patrick and Penny are hanging out and they take a picture. This picture is what is most important to the story because it sets everything off. This picture is of Patrick and Penny kissing, but the thing is they really aren't kissing it's all just a big joke. Well after this party Patrick and Penny start hanging out more and Alice doesn't feel special anymore. She felt as if she was unwanted. Patrick use to give her this look as if she was the only one for him and this smile that he gave ONLY to her. These looks soon turned into arguments. They soon after break up and Penny and Patrick are then together. Alice felt her life was horrible. She would always see Patrick and Penny in the halls and that made her feel even worse because he gave Penny the same look he use to give her. Eventually they talk and become friends again. I would recommend this book because it gives you the idea that even though something bad happens it can always be turned into a positive. ...
Rating: Summary: Best Alice Book So Far!!! Review: This Alice book is by far the best yet. Phyllis Reynolds Naylor perfectly captured the grief and broken heartedness after a break-up with a long time boyfriend. Reading this book will undoubtedly help other girls get through break-ups. Smiles!
Rating: Summary: Adult Situations, not suitable for young readers Review: This book advocates a 9th grade girl hosting a co-ed 'sleep-over' (chaparoned by an older brother?) and later in the book there is a very descriptive explicit portrayal of a sexual child molestation incident involving one of the key characters. This is definitely NOT for the young reader, or even the young adult reader, if it is for any reader at all. I only give it one star, because I couldn't give it zero.
