Summary: It was great!
Review: Rae can read fingerprints, but just thinks she's crazy. Anthony is someone in her group meetings that she has to go to since she got out of the hospital. Rae is almost killed and Anthony gets sent away since he's a likely suspect, but Rae doesn't think he did it because of some thoughts she picked up near the time of the explosion. Rae and Jess(Anthony's friend) try to find out who really tried to kill Rae. Meanwhile Anthony figures out how Rae power works and they start to become friends.

Summary: A new orginal series!
Review: Rae can't help it but sometimes she hears thoughts in her head. Thoughts that aren't her own. She dosen't understand why and she sometimes thinks she crazy. After having a mental breakdown in the middle of the cafeteria at the end of her sophmore year she spent her summer in hospitals and is still going to group therapy. SHe's nervous of what people will think about her when she comes back to school. She wonders if they'll be afraid of her. In her group therapy meetings she meets Anthony who's tough bravado seems to cover up deep problems. But when something terrible happens to Rea she's forced to face her secret and use her strange powers. But will that be enough to save Anthony?

I really enjoyed this book. The concept was orginal and the charecters were complex and different than others that you usually see in books. If you liked series like Fearless and the Sweep series this book is for you. I hope I get to read the second book in the Series. It's called Haunted.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: Rae starts out as a normal teenager and she is living a pretty good life. That is until she starts having thoughts that are not hers. She begins to think that she is going crazy, like her mother did before she died in an insane asylum. Then finally Anthony, a guy she met at one of her support groups, figured out that she had a wonderful and amazing gift. But somebody doesnt like this whole amazing gift idea. They want Rae dead and fast. With her gift she starts to investigate who wants to kill her and why. Rae and Anthony go through sad, happy and angry times. These books are great because at the end of each book they leave you hanging so you cannot put it down, but you have to keep reading each book within a matter of days! I recommend this book to people of all ages. It doesnt even matter what kind of book you like, this one has mystery, suspense, romance, and fanstasy all put together. If I had to choose one book to read over and over again I would definitely choose this one!

Summary: Very suspensful!
Review: Rae thinks she's normal. She thinks she's not like her mom--who ended up living out the rest of her days in the "funny farm". But Rae is starting to think some strange thoughts. Thoughts that aren't her own. Thoughts that she can sometimes sort of feel belong to people she know. Thoughts that are haunting her. In the cafeteria at school, she has a breakdown. She ends up in the "loony bin" for all summer, and when she comes back to school, people aren't sure what to think of her. They think she's crazy, and even dangerous. But then a boy from her group (where people who just got out of the loony bin can talk and try to recover), Anthony, starts to think that maybe it's something else. Maybe these thoughts aren't coming from some form of insanity. Maybe the thoughts are coming from something else. This book was SO good. It was really creepy and suspensful, and mysterious. I recommend it for fans of Replica by Marilyn Kaye, and any other suspensful books or series.

Summary: Was Rae As Crazy As Her Mother?
Review: Rae Voight had worked very hard to become who she was at Sanderson Prep High School. She was the girlfriend of the school's quarterback, the most gorgeous guy in school and everyone wanted to be her friend. Everyone thought that her life was perfect. Of course, Rae never told anyone that her mother died in a mental hospital from a mysterious disease or that Rae's mom was in the hospital because she murdered her best friend. Rae had always worried that she would grow up to be like her mother and her worst fears came true when she started hearing strange thoughts in the school cafeteria and had a total breakdown.

After spending the summer at Fair Haven, an upscale psychiatric facility, Rae tries to convince herself that she is ready to go back to school. But even though she told everyone that she was better, Rae knows that she still gets those weird thoughts. Rae tries to resume her old life, but her best friend hates and fears her, her boyfriend started dating another girl and didn't even bother to tell her, and everyone seems to be whispering about her when she walks down the hallway. When a pipe bomb goes off in the bathroom of the Oakvale Institute where Rae is having group therapy, the strange thoughts tell her that someone wants to kill her. She saw Anthony Fascinelli, one of the guys in her group, leave the girls' restroom right before she entered and tells the police, but immediately wishes that she hadn't. Somehow Rae knows that Anthony didn't do it, but she has no idea how to prove it. Anthony wants to hate Rae, but he quickly discovers that Rae can pick up people's thoughts if she places her fingerprints over theirs. Can Rae use her newfound ability to get Anthony out of juvie? And who is trying to kill her and why?

Fingerprints: Gifted Touch is a solid beginning for a good series. Rae is a great character. She is just a typical teenager worrying about all of the typical stuff - guys, school, etc. - when her whole life starts going out of control. The author did a great job at dealing with all of Rae's relationships with the other characters in the book and it was fun to get to know all of the people. Some of what happened in the book seemed pretty unlikely, like the pipe bomb in the girls' bathroom, but the plot is fast paced so the reader won't get bored. The story does have a cliffhanger ending, though, and so you will want to have the next book handy when you finish!

Summary: Thrilling first book!
Review: Rae was a pretty normal sixteen year old girl. She was popular, had a cute boyfriend, and great grades. That was until she started hearing thoughts in her head, thoughts that were sometimes hers and sometimes someone elses. This brought out Rae's biggest fear which was that she was taking after her mother who died in a mental ward when she was just a baby.

After Rae was sent to a mental ward and released everthing changed. She could tell everyone at school thought she was crazy. However she had a new found friend in Anthony who is in her group of kids who have troubles. However when Rae almost gets killed and Anthony seems to be the one who did it except for the fact that before she passed out she had a thougt that wasn't hers that someone was framing him can she use the powers that she doesn't understand to save him before it is too late and she gets herself killed? This first book Fingerprints was a very explosive book and moved fast-pace. I love it and am going to keep on reading it.

Summary: The first book in a thrilling new series.
Review: Sixteen-year-old Rae Voigt was your ordinary, popular sixteen-year-old girl. What she feared most of all was that her friends would discover her mother died in an insane asylum. Rae's whole life changes forever when she suddenly acquires an amazing gift. When Rae touches a person's fingerprint, she can hear what the person was thinking when they left the print. At first, Rae thinks she is going crazy, just like her mother. With the help of a boy named Anthony, she begins to understand her amazing powers. But as she does so, she realizes that she is in terrible danger. After a bomb in a bathroom nearly kills her, she knows someone wants her dead. But who, and why? Rae has never done anything to hurt anyone. Rae's going to have to find out fast. This book starts off a thrilling new series for teens by Melinda Metz, the wonderful author of Roswell High.
