Summary: Series off to a Great Start!
Review: "Original Touch"- book one of the Fingerprints series, was, in my opinion, the perfect start to what seems to be an intriguing and suspenseful series. After reading it, the reader will want to go straight to the bookstore and buy book two- "Haunted"- thanks to Melinda Metz, whose style of writing kept me at the edge of my feet. Readers Beware, once you open this book you will not be able to put it down.

Summary: Fingerprints
Review: After having a meltdown in the cafeteria when she is hearing thoughts that aren't hers, Rae has to go to a group class to get therapy. While there, she meets Anthony, another troubled teen, and Anthony's friend Jesse.
Another thing that happens there would be the fact that while in the bathroom, a pipe bomb goes off and Rae is injured. The only person who came out of the bathroom before Rae was Anthony. She has no choice but to tell the police that.
Anthony is then sent into Juvi, and blames it on Rae. But she gives a perfectly good explanation. She is hearing thoughts that aren't hers. Together, they figure out that she hears people thoughts when she touches their fingerprints (which is find of familiar to Psychometry).
Anthony isn't the one who attempted to kill her, and Rae knows it. The only problem is getting him off the hook...and attempting to protect herself while she's at it.
I thought this book was great. Truly a first-class read.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: After reading 24 books of the Fearless series, I was thinking no one could write anything even remotely similar to the books. But Melinda Metz changed the thought. This is another book about a paranormal teenage girl and I just love such books about teenagers, thrills, mysteries and supernatural powers and happenings. Rae is the kind of girl almost anyone would instantly like on reading the first book of this brilliant series. And of course there's Anthony whom I thought was a great character too. Rae's ability is just simply amazing. Reading about it makes you feel as if you're experiencing the shock, surprise, fear, wonder and thrill of it yourself. The whole time I was reading the book (which wasn't too long really) I was picturing images of fingerprints in my mind! And I was NOT doing it intentionally!!
This book is for every 'young adult' (as they call us), who loves reading about strange, abnormal qualities in extraordinary teenage girls. It wouldn't take long for you to grab hold of the second book of the series once you're done with the first!

Summary: Fingerprints 1 Gifted Touch
Review: As a fan of Melindas Metz and her books in the "Roswell High" series I was really excited to read the Fingerprints series. The first book got me hooked and has kept me reading. Rae's amazing ability to read thoughts by touching fingerprints is reminiscent to Melinda's alien themed storyline in the Roswell High books... Rae's search for her mother's past and her fate is an exciting journey into the unknown. And the relationships between her and Anthony and Yana are heartwarming. I recommend this book to fans of Melinda Metz.

Summary: fingerprints don't lie
Review: Fingerprints is one of the best series i've EVER read!! At times when Rae was freaked, i was scared too. Like it was going to happen to me. I cried for her and i smiled for her. I couldn't take my eyes and hands off the book. I must of read it so fast, and when one book was over, i NEEDED the next one. Ia m truly addicted to this series. I would recommend it to someone who can handle a scary and sometimes disturbing story.

Summary: Fingerprint Reader
Review: Gifted Touch is about a girl named Rae Voight who starts hearing voices in her head. Her first impulse is that she's going crazy like her mother. Then Rae starts going to group therapy but all she wants to do is be a normal girl and go to school and parties. On her way to group therapy a bomb explodes in the girls bathroom that she is in and hears a voice in her head that sounds like she wants to kill Rae for something and wants to frame Anthony for it. Anthony is this boy in Rae's group therapy who is a slow reader and who helps Rae realize that she is gifted. Whenever she touches a fingerprint she can read your thoughts at the time you left the mark. Now Rae has to help prove that Anthony is innocent and find whoever wants her dead. This was a great book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: "I started getting all these thoughts in my head . . ."
Review: Have you ever heard of the saying "you're going to be just like your parents when you grow up"? Understandably, every teen dreads the thought but for Rachel Voight, preferably Rae, it's her worst fear. Becoming like her mother means murdering someone and ending up dying in a mental institution. So when the thoughts, the "not-me thoughts," start coming Rae is worried she is going to follow the same road as her mother. As Rae tries to convince herself that nothing is wrong, she learns that someone is after her. Someone, who wants to kill her. Is it because of her newfound gift of reading fingerprints or something else? Something deeper than even Rae wants to venture into, that of which includes her mother's past.

Summary: Melinda Metz does it again!!
Review: I absolutely love this first book in the 'Fingerprints' series. Melinda has outdone herself again. Just like with the ROSWELL HIGH series, she has created such likeable and realistic characters...She takes you deep into their mind and helps you explore what they are all about...I really like the character of anthony...I relate so much to some of the things he thinks and does...The lead character rae, reminds me of myself way down deep inside...she has beauty and has spirit..If you loved ROSWELL HIGH, like I did, I would recommend that you read this book and love it even more!.I can't wait to get the rest of the series.

Summary: A great start for a new series
Review: I have just finished reading this great book - it was so good that I had to read it in one sitting. The basic story is that Rae has started hearing thoughts in her head when she touches things. The people around her automatically think that she is crazy and she is sent to the hospital for the summer. Once she is out of hospital she tries to pretend that she is back to normal - but the other thoughts she hears are getting stronger. Then someone tries to kill Rae and she has more problems than she can deal with. A fast paced read from the author of the Roswell High series of books. I have also read book two and the series continues its promising start in the first book.
