Summary: Read this now!
Review: I have read all of L.J. Smith's books, and the Forbidden Game series is my favorite. It is definitely one of those books you can't put down! When I borrowed the series from one of my friends, I just locked myself in my room all day and read them, one after the other. My brother asked if I was becoming a hermit

Summary: IF HE WINS, SHE'S HIS FOREVER MORE...
Review: I just finished reading this book, and I love it. Smith has done it once again. I can't wait until I get the next book in the series.

Jenny is this average teenager who is trying to hide the fact that she was to busy with family and friends to plan her bf's b-day party. Jenny then goes to the bad part of town, so her friends don't find out that she hasn't done any planning. She is "chased" into a store called "More Games", where she meets this gorgous guy with dazzling blue eyes and frost- white hair, Julian :). Julian shows her different games from ones that she recognizes (a mahogany mah-jongg table) to games that she weirded out by (the Tibetan game of goats and tigers). He then "knows" what type of game that she wants (a game with "Mystery. Danger. Seduction. Fear. Secrets revealed. Desires unveiled. Temptation") even though she never mentioned that she wanted a game like that. He then gives her a white glossy game that has no words on it. She buys the games, reculently. She makes her way home, and finds that two of her good friends figured out that she had nothing planned and were there to help. She gets ready for the party, and all of the guests arrive. Her parents leave, then they open the game..

The box is opened and you find out that it is a 3ft Victorian house that needs to be put together. After you put it together, you are to draw your most scariest darkest dream on a piece of paper, and place it in one of the rooms. Then you swear that you are palying this game of your own free will, and you realize that you could die in this game.. After everybody swears this to the Shadow World, they are mysteriously whisked away to the shadow world.

There they meet the Shadow Man (surprise, it is Julian), and everybody but Jenny is taken to the place where their nightmares are. Jenny has to go through the house and "collect" her friends, before dawn. The fun part about this is that they must go through and defeat their nightmares along the way, and if you get hurt, or die in the nightmare, it really happens. Jenny is tempted by Julian to stay with him, forever, and he will realease all her friends safely. Julian kept to his promise, the game contains everything he promised, and more...

I would have loved to change places with Jenny. Julian is such a great looking guy.. I would have stayed with him though.. Maybe she will in the next book?!

Summary: The best I ever read
Review: I loved this book, It was one of the best I ever read. I agree that Jenny should have given in to Julian, I mean, he had the charm. I read this about 20 times already, and each time I wish that jenny would just stop being so stubborn and give in, but she didn't and although I think she realy was in love with Julian, she didn't want to hurt the rest of the people she love. This is a 'must read' book!!!

Summary: Good Young Adult Romance/Horror
Review: I must admit to being surprisingly impressed by this book. After reading the Vampire Diaries, I was expecting an average to middling book, something that was quick and had some horror and teen romance. Well, two thirds of the way through the book, I realized I was in love with the villain, frightened by the story, and enraptured with the setting.

Julian, the villain of the books, has a very charming side that makes you want to like him. In fact, it makes you want to like him a lot more than you like the main character's boyfriend and "hero".

I was originally planning to give this book five stars, but after careful consideration - a few things made me change my mind. First, I feel that certain secondary characters were terribly underused. This is in stark contrast to some of LJ Smith's other works. Second, though I liked Jenny and thought she was a strong character, she was also entirely too wimpy in certain parts of the book. I would have loved to seen her tell her boyfriend off for the way he took her for granted.

Of the Forbidden Game trilogy, I feel this was the best book.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I read this book several years ago while I was still in high school, but still when I remember it, it moves me. I'm tempted to reread it as I await the next JV Jones and George R.R. Martin novels. I remember, when I finished the 3rd book I was in study hall. I came out crying!! Imagine how weird people thought I was!!

Summary: A Story You Will Never Forget
Review: I read this series when I was 14 and I am 22 now. I still consider it the most life changing phase I have ever had when it comes to a book. Read it, get it for your kids. The book has an important message about life: Eventually you will have to figgure out things on your own and it is not always pleasant. Things tend to turn out not as you planned, however, you come out of it changed and a better person for it. Sappy enough for you guys?

Summary: It was such a great book...
Review: I really truly wanted Jenny to go with Julian. Like the saying goes "opposites attract". But I think she had this great courage and strength of not giving in. Do you know what I mean? I admire her. This book is saying you can do anything you put your mind to it. I see this book has a deeper meaning. She stood up for what she believed in and didn't give in(which of course is not what I and many other people wanted). Well, I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did, because if you didn't your crazy!

Summary: Julian is Out of this World Perfect!
Review: Jenny and friends are caught in a nightmare world inside a paper house. Can Jenny escape or will she succumb to gorgeous Julian and become his shadow queen?
When I first picked this book up I had no idea what I was getting into (just like Jenny and her friends when they were building the paper house!) This is a great book with two great leads (when I say that I mean Jenny and Julian) they are so great together and why the heck Tom was even in this book except to be a whining, annoying distraction? Maybe because it makes look Julian even more like the perfect guy!!! If I had been in the story it would have been only about 20 pages long cause I would have looked into Julian's mesmerizing blue eyes and been like, please, please, please make me your shadow queen! Jenny must be made out of ice resisting him for so long before she finnally... It makes for a great great read though!
