Rating: Summary: Intriguing, but not quite accurate Review: I found this book very interesting. I liked the combination of romance, mystery, and time travel. I love books about time travel. But this book wasn't quite historically accurate. The way the author kept pointing out what girls supposedly couldn't do in 1895 got a little silly after a while. A line that particularly got to me was, "Let's race? I'll win? Girls weren't allowed to do both!". Come on! That line was ridiculous even by 1895 standards. While women in 1895 didn't have as many rights as they have today, it wasn't as bad as Caroline Cooney says it is. I think she just wrote things like that for dramatic purposes.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful time-traveling, romance! Review: This book is about a girl named Annie, who travels back 100 years into the 19th century. She falls in love with a great guy while she is there and has to decide if she loves her current boyfriend or the boy she met while she traveled back into time. Everyone should read it!!!!
Rating: Summary: Exciting, with an old fashioned romantic twist Review: I found this book to be imaginative and riviting. This book is the best out of all its companions. I fell in love with it and couldn't put it down without finishing it. I loved its details of the characters and scenery. Any teenage girl, like me, would LOVE it.
Rating: Summary: A great read! Review: This is a GREAT book! I first picked it up after my friend gave it to me and finished it in a day. I bought the book soon after and hunted for Out of Time, which was just as gripping as the trilogy's first. Now I finally found Prisoner of Time, but I must admit, am a bit dissapointed about it's coming plotline. Whatever you do READ the books!
Rating: Summary: I absolutely loved it! Review: This book, about a teenage girl who travels back in time 100 years, is one of the best I've ever read. I finished it in a day, because I couldn't put it down. It's definetely a 'read more than once' kind of book.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Book Review: The book was wonderful, but the ending sucks. the ending makes you need to read the next in the series, which I guess is what the author wants. I did really enjoy it
Rating: Summary: The best book i've ever read!!! Review: Annie is so ramantic. She always wanted to experience what it would be like in the Victorian days. She is now getting her chace. Now she has love to! This is definetly the best book I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: What a great read!! Review: This book really impressed me. I thouroughly enjoyed the twists and turns sprinkled in it when I least expected it. The love story was a wonderful addition, but it did not take place of all the other things that were happening. Time-travel lovers everywhere should read it, young and old!!
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Book!!!! Review: This was the best book I have ever read (other than the sequel!), because it had a little bit of everything! Romance, history, social issues, and a touch of fantasy. This was a fantasy book, but it was extremely realistic other that the initial plot - falling through time.
Rating: Summary: Written very well in detail Review: It only took me one day to read this book because it was really well written. I could really feal what Annie was going through and I couldn't put the book downl. I thought it was cool how Cooney described Annie's transition into the 1900's. Out of all the books I've read by this author, this was one of the best. The way she described the characters was unbelievable. It's like I really knew them.
