Rating: Summary: a good, but not fantastic love story Review: The story was very romantic, but things happened between Annieand Strat a little too quickly. Annie didn't seem at all disturbed byher travel back in time, either. The characters all seemed obsessedwith money and vanity, and I know Victorians weren't that shallow! I have started writing a story that's also set in the early twentieth century, but after reading this book, I think I'll be making some changes in my story. Read it if you want to, but you may be disappointed.P.S.: the sequel is a little better.
Rating: Summary: Great Beginning Review: I found this to be a great book! I read it at suggestion from a friend. I wasn't able to put it down, I finished in one evening. The romance bettween Annie Lockwood and Hiram Stratton jr. is one of epic proportions. The aspect of Annie's time travel experience and the century she travels to made me that much more curious! I'm now reading the sequel "Out of Time" and I'm finding that It's just as good. It is a fantasy within the harsh realities of real life. Divorce, Marrige, Love, Loyalty,Trust, and Honesty. These two books go above and beoynd any normal love story and that is what makes them so enjoyable to read. As well as getting to see the story from the view of all the characters not just Annie and Strat. I say way to go on these two Caroline!

If you love time travling, murder mysteries, or a great love story this will be great for you. And If you loved this book as much as I did there two companions (Out of Time and Prisoner of Time) that are also just as good! Both Sides of Time and the companions are must reads! Again Cooney dosen't let us down!
Rating: Summary: The Most Beautiful Love Story Ever! Review: This was the first book i ever read by Caroline Cooney. it was just lying around the house one day so i picked it up. i am so glad i did. this was the most captivating, beautiful love story i have ever read and i am dying to read the sequels.
Rating: Summary: An excellent book of character development. Review: I found this book to be very entertaining. The plot was creative and somewhat logistic, but I found the best part of the book in the characters themselves. I enjoyed seeing how people would react to situations in the book, especially Annie and Strat the two main characters. I would recommend this book for anyone.
Rating: Summary: Captivating! Review: Beautiful!Annie Lockwood finds herself distressed by a dull boyfriend and wishes for more. She gets it when she's thrown back a century. Now she's torn between a forbidden love and her troubled family.
Rating: Summary: Shallow, pointless, and just plain horrendous! Review: This book was reccommended to me by two friends. Almost everyone seems to love it. Hello? Did we read the same book? I thought it was awful! It had no detail. The characters, far from "interesting" and "believable", were all extremely shallow with no real personalities. Bridget's story was the one and only bright spot! It's scary that so many call this a good book!
Rating: Summary: I thought this book was exciting and thrilling Review: "A romantic in the wrong century" That is how Anna Sophia Lockwood, more commonly known as Annie, describes herself in Caroline B. Cooneys time travel/murder mystery/romance novel, BOth Sides of Time. We've allt hought how grand it would be to live in a different century and get away froma ll our problems, but Annie discovers that no matter what century you are in, you will always have problems. Annie lives at Stratton Point in 1995. Hiram Stratton Jr., known as Strat by his friends, lives at Stratton point in 1895. But somehow, thetwo fell in love. Which brings us to the time travel part of this novel.A couple days before the old Stratton Mansion is scheduled to be torn down, Annie, finding that it is suprisingly open, wanders in and finds herself one hundred years in the past. The "voyage" was terrifing enough, but Annie saw something very important, which she ignored. The thing that she saw was a servant being murdered. And since Annie mysteriously showed up around the ime that he died, everyone seems to think the she done it. Will Annie get back to her own time? Will she find peace at last? Will the servants murderer be caught? Read this book and find out.
Rating: Summary: She could hurt people on both sides of time! Review: In Caroline B. Cooney's book, she tells of girl who is a "century changer" and begins to live two different lives, almost at the same time. She starts to toy with people's lives without even knowing it. In the end, it all comes down to what life she wants to live. Will she destroy her parents' marriage and her family that she loves, all for the sake of changing centuries?
Rating: Summary: This was a wonderful book Review: I loved this book. Everything was in such detail and it was very romantic. The beginning was a little hard to follow but after you got passed the first 3 chapters it was smooth flowing. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys fantasy and romance.
