Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A higher rating than 5 stars, this book should have it!
Review: I've always been fascinated by the concept of time travel. I like to write and my stories end up in this theme time and time again. I was in 8th grade when I saw this book in a school catalog and read its description. When I got the book, I started reading and could NOT put it down! Even 6 years later it still holds my admiration. It's one of my very favorite books still out of the many I have read, and I read every night. A 300 page book takes me 3-4 days!

Annie is a high school girl with a handsome but unfortunately unromantic, car-obsessed boyfriend. He lives at the soon to be demolished, now apartmented, Stratton Mansion. Annie dreams of the days when the mansion was at its peak and of the romance that must have occurred there. Suddenly she finds herself flung 100 years into the past in a real-life true romance, the rival of rich but plain, love-stricken Harriet who pines for the same man as Annie. What Annie didn't bargain for was a murder mystery and a plot against the entire Stratton family by several wicked characters, working together and separately for their own selfish goals and twisted motives. It's a race against time to save herself, her true love and those around him.

I recommend Both Sides of Time, and its companion Out of Time to anyone with a heart for romance and a desire to live in times long past. The characters will surprise you and will make you think twice about human nature, you might even find pity for those you hate and unexpected sympathy. Your heart will be in your throat to the very end.

Summary: Time Travelers Delight
Review: A Review by Cassie

This book starts out with a girl named Annie, who is a freshman in high school. She is very smart and she has a boyfriend who doesn't pay any attention to her except when he wants something from his tool box. She has a brother and a mother and a father, the father is cheating on her mother. Her boyfriend Sean, used to live at the old Stratton Mansion, until they decided that it wasn't worth the keeping preserved. There is obviously a story behind the mansion, and Annie is just dying to find out, but she finds out many secrets hidden behind the walls of the old mansion.

This book was very exciting, I couldn't put it down. Annie is very forward in the 1890's because that is how people act in the 1990's, but it isn't looked upon very kindly in those times. She is always on the go and people can't quite understand. This book was many genres' pact into one. It was a fantasy book, it was a mystery, it was a science fiction, it was a romance novel. Personally I love all those types of books and to have them all crammed into one is awesome. The one thing that I didn't like was the fact that I constantly had to have a dictionary by my side because it had many big words, but it challenged my brain which was ok and pretty cool. I couldn't put the book down, I would devour it. Annie switches back and forth from time, and you can feel the pain she is feeling, not from the switching times, but from her heartache. She belongs back in the 1890's but just can't fit in, and if she can't fit in her own time, or there where is she supposed to fit in?

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is challenging because it is a higher reading level, and it has things that teenagers can comprehend with and so can adults. Anyone that likes science fiction, mysteries, intense romance novels, or murder mysteries would love it.

Summary: Both Sides of Time
Review: This book, Both Sides of Time, grabs your attention because of how the two settings are thrown together. It shows how teenagers still have some of the same aspirations even from two different centuries.
Both Sides of Time include adventure and romance. There are several important decisions that the main characters have to make that effect themselves, and all the people around them.
I would very much recommend this book and it's three companions to anybody even remotely interested in it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: TO MUCH DRAMA!!
Review: I personally thought this book was a little cheesy & it had way to much drama. Yes, it was okay, but it was nothing to write home about. If the rest of the series was sitting @ my fingertips to read, then, yeah, I'd probably read it. I didn't think it was all that romantic. If your looking 4 romance, this isn't the book for you.

Summary: Amazing !!
Review: CAroline B. Cooney really knows how to draw a reader in. This book is sooo good and everything is explained well, the character's feelings, and imagery. It's wonderful! This book is perfect for one who loves romance (like me). I absolutely loved this book and am planning on buying the next two! So if you love romance and history, this is the book for you

Summary: Very romantic
Review: I thought Both Sides of Time was a very entertaining book. It is about a girl named Anna Lockwood who is 15 years old and lives in the year 1995, but somehow accidentally finds a way to travel back in time to 1895. She meets a romantic, polite, handsome boy which she can't help but compare with her very un-romantic boyfriend back in 1995. At some parts it got confusing, going from 1995 to 1895 and jumping from character to character without a lot of explanation, but it is still a good book. The book kept my full attention and never left me bored. With the different story lines, time travel, and romance, you can't help but love this book. It is probably a good book for girls from age 10-16. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Starts off slow, but good anyway
Review: Both Sides of Time is a pretty good book. It is about a fifteen-year-old girl named Annie who travels back in time--one hundred years to be exact! This book tells about Annie's romance in the present, and "back in time".
I liked and disliked this book for many reasons. I liked this book because it has a good story line. I could relate to Annie in many ways, too. One thing I could relate to her with is when she had to choose which side she wanted to be on-the present or stay back in time. I have had to choose sides just like she did and I hated making someone sad or upset just like she did.
I disliked the book also. One reason was because the text went back and forth between scenes and it was confusing. The narrator starts talking and you figure out that it is a different scene and different people are talking. Another reason I didn't like this book is because there were so many characters and the book tells you who they are once, but after that you have to remember who they are, and if you don't, you have to look it back up in the book.
I would give this book a four star because it was good, but it wasn't the greatest book I have read. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes mystery, drama, and romance.

Summary: A Must Read!!!!!!
Review: This book was EXCELLENT! I couldn't put it down. It took me only a FEW hours...personally I'm not a murder mystery fan so most of Cooney's books aren't my type. But this one was different. I'm a fan of fantasy and romance so this book was WAY my type.

The story is about Anna Sophia Lockwood, a romantic in 1995, who falls into a different century, 1895. There, she meets Strat and the two instantly fall in love, much to the displeasure of Harriet.
Harriet is a plain girl who is in love with Strat. She figures that she'd rather marry someone then be an old maid, like her Aunt Ada, so she excepts Mr. Rowwells' proposal. Soon, she realizes what a BAD choice she made...but she can't back down now.
Matthew, who is a servant, is killed from falling down the stairs. It looks like he was murdered, but who would want to murder him? Poor Bridget, another servant, is blamed of murdering him so she is thrown in jail. But Anna Sophia thinks that SHE is being the one blamed so she falls back into her century.
Strat misses Anna Sophia dredfully and she misses him too...will they ever see each other again?
Life doesnt look so good for Harriet, Bridget, Strat, or Anna Sophia...read Both Sides Of Time to find out how things turn out...

Summary: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY...
Review: If you've read Laura Ingalls Wilder, Replica, and Face on the Milk Carton series, than you are sure to love this book. And if you're a fan of Caroline Cooney, than there's another reason(:. I've read this series a number of times, and want to read them again. Series titles:

1. Both Sides of Time
2. Out of Time
3. Prisoner of Time
4. For all Time

I am even trying to get Caroline Cooney's E-Mail so she'll write another book. (If you know it I ENVY YOU!) I really think you should get this book and hope it will add to your library.
