Summary: The Wizard es Magico.
Review: Since I had already read this book in English, I was bascially looking for something easy in Spanish to keep my skills up. The book follows the English version word for word. Some of the words they choose for translation I found a little odd, but all in all, es un libro que es fácil leer y usted va a gustarlo mucho. Lo recomiendo.

Summary: This book deserves a better translation.
Review: The translation is very bad. Just a couple exampleS: in the original version, Neville's pet is a toad; in the translation, it is a turtle. In the original · In the original, the bank of the gringotts is managed by goblin; In the translation, this bank is managed by gnomes. (I haven't read the second one, so I don't know how the translator is going to solve this problem when the Weasleys have to de-gnome the garden, are they going to try it at the bank? Or the bank itself is a garden?)

Summary: Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal
Review: This book is amazing. I read the book in english and feel in love with it. Then naturally I looked for the version in spanish, amazing the story those not lose a thing in the translation. Teachers should use this book for their students. Harry potter is an amazing kid who could teach us all a thing or two in perseverance, kidness and courague. Can't wait to follow the series in both languages.

Summary: How can you miss?
Review: This book was excellent. The high school I attend doesn't have any Spanish classes past Spanish IV, so I am taking and independant study AP Spanish class. I am reading this book over the summer to keep myself thinking about Spanish, and it is increasing my vocabulary greatly. I understand more words the more I read. Since it is Harry Potter, it is fun to read and is not a chore. Everyone who has ever read a Harry Potter book knows they are impossible to put down, and Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal is no exception!

Summary: Great way to practice other languages
Review: This is a great, easy, relaxing way to keep up your already advanced Spanish. It might also be a good way to greatly improve your intermediate Spanish. Keep a dictionary and a notepad handy for those new vocabulary words. Or don't. After a little while of recording new words, I finally quit and just read for the pleasure of it, deciphering words by context. Sometimes I grabbed the English version to check a phrase. That worked well, too. In short, for use as a language builder and confidence builder, I highly recommend this book to you. However, if you're hoping to comprehend the complexities of grammar, there are just enough strange turns of phrase in this book that I would say this is not your first source for grammar lessons.

Summary: Muy buen libro para todas las edades
Review: Un libro divertido y entretenido.
