Rating: Summary: Not bad.... Review: I have to admit that I did like the first two books in the trilogy better than I liked this one. Just like all the other readers, I wanted to know more about Annie and Strat, though I did like Devonny. I don't see any point in summarizing the story, since this has already been done. I do have to say that I would have liked the book much more if it Ms. Cooney had elaborated more. I really wanted to know what happened to Todd, what the wedding went like(I don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't read the book, but for those of you who have, I'm talking about the wedding that was sort of being discussed at the very end of the story). Also, who doesn't want to know more about Flossie and Gianni, the most romantic couple in the book?Though I did enjoy the story, I really do hope that Ms. Cooney will add another book or two onto the current trilogy.
Rating: Summary: What happened to Annie and Strat Review: I havn't read this book yet, but I'm dissapointed that it is not going to be about Annie and Strat. Every time I read one of the other two, I always am hoping it will end differently. I thought this one would be the one that they would end up together forever. I'm still going to read this one, but I am really hoping that Caroline Cooney will write another book about Annie and Strat! I really, really want them to end up together forever.
Rating: Summary: weak for a third book Review: I have read the whole series by Ms. Cooney, but to me this one's the weakest of the four. The story of Anne and Strat was going good, and then she has to bring Devonney and Tod in to the scene. But I do believe that she had her reasons. During the period, women were suppressed by male, and Devonney was way ahead of her time. It did both Tod and Devonney good to learn about the past and present(or future) and realize their potential as a human. Although it was an odd-one-out from the Quatret, it was a good read.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed! Review: I have, unfortuneately, decided not to read Prisoner of Time because it is not about Strat and Annie. They were one of my most favorite duos and it is such a shame that they don't get to continue their romance. I read Both Sides of Time and Out of Time two summers ago (I am now a high school freshmen) and they touched me in a way that no other two books ever had before. I got through each of them in less than a week and it usually takes me at least a month to finish a book. I hope that Caroline B. Cooney decides to write a final book about Annie and Strat, that will bring their story to a close.
Rating: Summary: I want Annie & Strat backk ! Review: Ok this book was alright.... I thought the point of this book was Devonny & Tod, and their romance. But then, it spent a lot of the time, focusing back on Devonny's time. This bored me greatly!!! I also didn't know what to make of Lord Windon, Devonny's fiance. In the book it was stressed that he was evil, but then towards the end it was showing a gentler side of him, so I was kind of stunned. I do admit, I wish Annie and Strat were more in this though! Also, I thought Devonny and Tod would have more of a romance. It was kind of like Tod fell in love with her, and Devonny fell in love with him. But there wasn't any words or emotions to back their statements up!! And when Devonny left, it seemed like Tod showed no emotion. I wish it was better, and I can't wait to get my romance-lovin paws on the final one!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: "A Prisoner Of Time" Review: This book is good, but I do have to say that it is my least favorite of the whole Time series. Why? Because it isn't about Annie and Strat, but about Annie's brother Tod, and Strat's sister Devonny! Nothing against Tod and Devonny, but after the first two books, I wanted to know more about the two stars of the series; yet i do understand why there is a break in Annie and Strat's story. In this book, you feel almost every emotion, just like the other ones. The ending was nice, in more ways than one. Even if this book wasn't mainly about Annie and Strat, you understand how it plays into their situations. All I have to say is read it, but don't expect it to be your favorite book of all time. Even though this isn't the best of the entire series, still read it because it's quite a good book and you'll want to read the fourth book.
Rating: Summary: good book... Review: ...but not as good as "Both Sides Of Time", a fav of mine since i first read it so many years ago, i think to date i've read it atleast 10 times. And "Out Of Time". Still a good story, had me hooked like the others, i'm disappointed it didn't have Annie or Strat in the main story line. I really want to know what happened to Strat tho. Ms. Cooney, if your reading this, please write a fourth book. Read the other 2 books before you read this one.
Rating: Summary: Everyone NEEDS to read this! Review: This book is woderful! It shows the struggles of a wealthy 16 year old girl living in the late 1800's. Devonny is forced into a marriage with a snobby englishman that doesn't care for her at all, as long as she can make him rich. She is rescued by Tod Lockwood (Annie's brother) and brought through time to the late 90's. She is hoping to find her brother Strat their, but it turns out he is in Egypt! She sees how the women of our time provide for themselves. Finally, she understands she must go back to her own time to save her mother who is imprisoned it by her father. Many people think Annie and Strat should be in these books, but I find it just fine without them.
Rating: Summary: This "Time" was the best so far. Review: "A Prisoner of Time" was much-much better than "For All Time" and surpassed "Both Sides Of Time," as well. This book had none stop action and was interesting. Todd could have been better developed, but that is my only complaint. I think Hiram Stratton, Sr., was shown to be a heartless human being better in this book than in the other two "Time" novels combined. I hope in the last book in this quad series, it will show why both Annie AND Todd were able to time travel - is it hereditary or just pure luck? I guess only *time* will tell...... I recommend.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: This book was so good! Unlike the first to books, Annie and Strat arent the main characters. Tod (Annies bro) and Devonny (Strats sis) are. The ending wasnt the best, but I didnt care. Heres what its about. In this book, Tod rescues Devonny from an unwanted marrige, and brings her back to his own time. Now Devonny has to learn to live in the 20th century. Now, Devonny and Tod start to fall for each other. But, soon she goes back to her own time. What happens?¿? Read the book 2 find out.
