Rating: Summary: Good! Review: I love the Beverly Hillbillies TV Show, I just love the down to earth, home spun, appeal of that show, and I thought the Beverly Hillbillies Movie remake was good and I listened to the audio book recording of Todd Strasser's the Beverly Hillbillies Movie (based on the screenplay) and I enjoyed listening to it! BTW: The reader of the audiobook recording is Henry Gibson (Laugh-In and numerous movie and TV appearances, including Bio-Dome and Sabrina The Teenage Witch) and the audiobook is abridged and there isn't an unabridged recording.
Rating: Summary: Cute, Enjoyable Story! Review: I love the Beverly Hillbillies TV Show, I just love the down to earth, home spun, appeal of that show, and I thought the Beverly Hillbillies Movie remake was really cute and funny, I listened to the audio book recording of Todd Strasser's the Beverly Hillbillies Movie (based on the screenplay) and I really enjoyed listening to it! I have always liked Henry Gibson (Laugh-In and numerous movie and TV appearances, including Bio-Dome and Sabrina The Teenage Witch), and I was very pleased that he did the narration! The audio book is abridged and I enjoyed it so much I found myself wishing to hear the whole book on tape!
Rating: Summary: It was alright But I Wouldn't Give It More Than 3 stars! Review: I saw the Beverly Hillbillies movie and when I saw this audiobook cassette recording in a store I bought it and listened to it. It is what they call a movie tie-in book in which the author writes a book which is based upon the movie's screenplay and that is exactly what Todd Strasser did. The story was alright but it's not the best book on tape I have ever listened to so not a keeper. The reader Henry Gibson was pretty good though and the story wasn't awful but it was just good to listen to once but not again and again and I wouldn't give this audiobook cassette recording more than 3 stars and I would probably feel the same way about the paperback book version too.
