Summary: Definetely a favorite from Velde...
Review: I truly loved this book but I just wished there was more to it. Alys made a wonderful heroine: spunky, brave, and intelligent--(definetely a welcome change from the character of Lylene in "The Conjurer Princess"), and Selendrile was truly one dragon I wouldn't have minded meeting-(even if he is a little scary in his attitude and way of thinking). The ending was nice, with them choosing to stay together, though I wish that there could be a sequel to see how a dragon and a human girl get along together and maybe see where (if at all) their relationship can go. All in all I would recommend this book to anyone, and not just to little kids either-but to teenagers and maybe even some adults who enjoy a good fantasy with a dash of romance.

Review: Dragon's Bait was a truly terriffic book. Alys and Seredrile are some really interesting characters. I just could not put the book down. I really loved the book, and I believe that Vivian Vande-Velde had a natural gift for writing. I just started 'Compassions of the Night,' and that seems to be a very good book!

Review: This is the second book I've read by Vivian Vabde Velde(the first being Companions of the Night) and i loved this book too. She is now one of my favorite authors. This book had a better ending than Companions of the Night because Alys and Selendrile get together whereas Kerry and Ethan don't. I'm hoping to have sequels to both these books. I really want to know what happens to Alys, Selendrile, Ethan, and Kerry. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books!!

Summary: "Dragon's Bait" has a great plot and interesting charecters.
Review: I'll try to keep it short. The main charecter is falsly accused of withcraft, and is tied to a stake, left as an offering to the local dragon. Through rather unusual circumstances, she and the dragon collaberate in her plot of revenge against those who accused her.

Review: I now love Vivian Vande Velde!! I love the plot and the ending!! Selendrile is the type of guy you try so much to dislike, but end up falling in love with!!!! Alys and Selendrile are great characters!! I hope she comes up with a sequel!!!!

Review: Vivian Vande Velde is now my 2nd favorite author, after Lisa Jane Smith. I LUV this book SO much!!! COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT is also one of my favorite books. Alys and Selendrile make a cute couple, as do Kerry and Ethan. Of course, the ending of DRAGON'S BAIT is much better, since Alys and Selendrile get to stay together. Vivian Vande Velde is a superb author, and I can't wait to read more of her books!!! Q.L.

Review: This book has everything a fantasy lover wants. And when is fantasy at it's best? Why in human history. Trying to give the feeling of those men and women who were falsly accused of witchcraft, Velde has her main character staked out and left for a dragon as punishment for witchcraft.After her Dad dies, Alys is left on here own, until a very surprising thing happens. Alys attracts the attention of the dragon who decides to interfer a little bit with human affairs. The Dragon, Selendrile, takes human form to help Alys with her plans for revenge and seems amused with the ways of humans. Alys and him each learn a lesson from the other rather unwillingly. Entwined throughout the whole is a humorous love story of two different races and the end is very pleasing. Definately a keeper to add to your collection. A story about a very sexy dragon and a gutsy heroine quotes the horn book. And that sums it up.

Review: A wounderfuly enchanting book! If you are even remotly interisted with dragons, magic, romance, or fantasy READ THIS BOOK! I read it and could not put it down till I finished! I've read everything I can get my hands on by Velde now! She writes supurbly and builds the suspence..1 thing though...lets have a sequel!!!! It was SO good I want to read more about the charactors. I love the way Veld gave Selendrile the shapeshiffting power. I hope that she writes another book on dragons....until then I recomend this to any and all readers!

Review: As soon as I began reading "Dragon's Bait", I couldn't put it down. If you are interested in dragons or romance (or like me, both) then this is a great book for you! One thing though, all we need is a sequel, so we can see just what Alys and Selendrile...become.
