Summary: A great read!
Review: This is one of the best books I have read so far. It has an interesting plot that flows throughout the entire book. Laura has this new naeighbor named Omar who has a "special talent." He can go into the fourth demension. Laura and Omar befriend each other only because Laura wants to find out how to go into the fourth demension. Laura found this out when she had a note in her locker that was backwards. She starts to get suspicious when she sees Omar turn backwards every once in a while. So Laura wants to know how to get into the fourth demension from Omar. Omar gives in and shows her, making a very big mistake. They both go into the fourth demension and get lost, not being able to find their own third demension. They meet some very interesting creatures who do some tests on them. Since Laura and Omar can only see cross sections of everything there, they have an extremely hard time seeing. They figure out a way to get out of the fourth demension and Laura learns soemthing very intriguing about Omar and the demensions. You'll have to read the book to find out any more! This book takes place in the present time. The main parts take place at a variety of places; places like the fourth demension, Laura's house, Laura's school, and the fifth demension. This book is not just for children, it's for everyone. It's for people who like adventurous books with excitement on each and every page. This book is definately a great book to read.

Summary: A fantastic thriller, extremely well written!
Review: This is one of the most interesting books that I have ever read. I couldn't put it down, and when I was done, I wanted to read it all over again. This story is for all ages, and will satisfy any interest.

Summary: Good for adults too
Review: This was one of the first science fiction books I ever read, back in elementary school. I loved it then and I still love it, even though it is a children's book. It has a bit of "A Wrinkle in Time" to it, though is less serious in tone. Adults who enjoyed "Flatland" will probably like this book's more humorous take on "higher dimensions".

Summary: Great as always!
Review: William Sleator does an incredible job with this book. I first read it when I was in junior high and now, more than a decade later, I still enjoy this book. It starts with Laura finding a note in her locker that is written backwards. At first she thinks it is a joke, but that starts to change as she befriends a boy who has just moved into her neighborhood. And then she discovers his secret-- the ability to travel into the 4th dimension!
After that the book just keeps getting better until the very last line! Sleator's imagination and writing is excellent. I highly recommend this book to all sci-fi fans, regardless of age-- you will not be dissappointed.
