Summary: AWESOME, yet abrupt
Review: Eighteen-year-old Colleen Templeton is gearing up for the best summer of her life. She has just graduated from high school, her parents are headed to Germany for the summer, leaving her home alone, three of her best friends (Haley, Erica, and Samantha) are moving in with her for the summer, she's got a great boyfriend, Ben, who loves her more than anything, she's working at Bobb's (a cute crabhouse, where B-list celebrities sometimes eat), and she's living on Maine the most quaint area in the world. But when Evan, Colleen's boyfriend from last summer shows up, everything changes. Suddenly Collen can't figure out why she's constantly thinking about Evan, when she should be thinking about her current-boyfriend Ben, and as time slowly goes by, she realizes that, as hard as it is to believe, she may actually have feelings for Evan, even though he broke her heart the previous summer.

Catherine Clark has created a wise, intelligent, and funny voice in Colleen. She is an interesting character who is artistic, and quiet, but who faces the same challenges that teenage girls face everyday in their lives. Her friends (Erica, Samantha, and Haley) all bring unique personalities to MAINE SQUEEZE, causing female readers to find themselves identifying to each and every girl, and comparing the characters to her own friends. Reading MAINE SQUEEZE is like reading a letter from your best friend. Filled with ups and downs in the romance, work, and school departments, this book will be cherished by all female teenagers. A great beach read.

Summary: A SUMMER READ
Review: I loved this book! Colleen was such a likeable character. After reading "Maine Squeeze" I wanted to pack up and move to an island in Maine. The setting was perfect in this book. The conflict of having to choose between 2 different guys kept me interested because the author didn't make it sleazy like the Gossip Girl books. There are also some hilarious parts in this book that you'll probably find yourself laughing uncontrollably about. Don't waste any more time! Buy this book NOW!

Summary: Good Summer Story
Review: Maine Squeeze is about an out of high school student, Colleen, who is spending her summer with her best friends in her home on a small island off the coast of Maine while her parents are away. However, during the summer, she is torn between to guys trying to win and keep her affection: Ben, her current boyfriend; and Evan, her ex from last summer.
This book was funny and exciting, it makes you want to read more and find out who Colleen will choose and why. There are issues in the book that teens can relate to that I thought were relevant and fun. Although the ending was kind of abrupt, it is still a great summer story!

Summary: Cute - A Fast and Easy Read
Review: MAINE SQUEEZE, by Catherine Clark is funny, cute, and easy to read. It's perfect summer reading. Though it sounds a bit like a cheap romance book (the front cover showing a beach and saying 1 girl + 2 boys + 1 island = great summer, or something like that anyway), it really isn't.

Colleen's parents are going to Europe for the summer, and leaving her at home. You'd think Colleen would be mad, but her parents are letting a few of her friends move into the house when they're away. After going over the rules and whatnot, her parents are on a plane to Europe. Colleen's friends start coming over and moving into the house. Only, one of them can't stay!

No worries, Colleen and Co. decide to ask their new co-worker Blair to move in, and everything's great. Things get a bit tricky though - Colleen has to work with her ex-boyfriend Evan all summer, Ben (her new boyfriend) isn't very happy about that, and Blair is NOT what she seems to be.

MAINE SQUEEZE is a normal teen fiction book, but Catherine Clark writes in a hilarious upfront way. Highly Recommended.

Overall grade - B

Summary: AWESOME, yet abrupt
Review: This book was a good book, and keeps me reading. Every time I read this book, I find more things. Unfortunatly, there doesn't seem to be enough information about what goes on AFTER Colleen gets her parents. The stories ends rather abruptly, leaving you hanging. Either Ms. Clark has to write a sequel or the book should be extened to add more information about the events that occur AFTER the current ending.

Summary: First impressions prove to be true.
Review: When I first heard of this book, I immediately put it on my wishlist and I waited for it to be released. A few weeks ago when I bought it, I didn't realize how good it would be. Colleen is an 18 year old girl who lives on a small island in Maine. Every summer she works at a restraurant named Bobb's. The previous summer, when her boyfriend Evan had to leave after the holiday, she was brokenhearted. Then she met Ben. They were now dating, and had been for 8 months. Colleen expected her summer before college to be fun, spent with Ben. But when she goes to work on the first day, Evan is back. As the book progresses, Colleen is faced with a problem. Does she want Evan back? Is she subconsciously sabatoging her relationship with Ben? Read this book to find out.
