Rating: Summary: A book with a real story! Review: Jason and Marceline is the best book I have ever read! I am a 13 yr female and it took me two days to read! I could not put it down!I even read it during my softball game!It is a book that I related to very well...I mean in the way that Jason and Marceline's relathionship is! A very real book and is different because it was not written for children but not for adults either!A teenage story! It is a book for all sexes also...after reading it I gave it to my boyfriend to read! He loved it also, the story is much like our relashionship...most likly why i loved it so much! The story is about how Jason and Marceline were friends then became boyfriend and girlfriend...the problem is that they are always fighting! It tells their story and how thay survived their freshman year! I also loved it cause it was funny, sad, and had romance! I give it 5 Stars 100%! PLZ READ IT! I can't stop talking about it and either will you! Must I also say that I am not the kind of person who likes to read books? Give me a break! I am 13!
Rating: Summary: An interesting, realistic book. Review: Jason and Marceline was a very realistic book. JS managed to get inside a 14 year old's brain and write his thoughts. Being 13 I know what the book is about and some of the problems in the book are the ones I face. I would not recomend this book to kids under 13 as it uses a lot of swearing and sexual references. It kept me turning pages though until there were no more to turn. A great book for ages 13-16.
Rating: Summary: I love this book- but careful who reads it Review: Jason and Marceline was such and awesome book, telling about a Jason's relationship with his girlfriend. the book talks about people a little bit older then me, but i still connected with it. I would recommend this book to kids 13 or older, just because it deals with somethings that are inappropriate for younger kids. it goes a little farther then just dating, into kissing and things like that. Even then, i would hope that every teen reads this great book!!!
Rating: Summary: As A Librarian, I Am HONORED To Have This Book On My Shelf Review: Kids love Jerry Spinelli. Know why? Because Jerry Spinelli loves kids. I am quite distressed to know a teacher wouldn't recommend this to students. As a youth librarian, I highlight it. Why? Well, the writing is fresh and painful, confusing and relevant. . .just like ninth grade. Marceline is a real person, she's scared but true to herself. And Jason is real too, sorry to break your heart. Guys actually care about "boobs" and "doing it"! But you know what? Jason cares about Marceline's individual nature and her quirks more. He can't get by without her, and he knows it. This book is a modern classic, full of humor and wisdom and characters so real, you never forget them. BUY THIS BOOK. You will not regret it.
Rating: Summary: Pretty gross Review: O.K. I know this book is pretty realistic. But, I mean, alot of the kids I know this year aren't as gross, vivid, and, well, crude as in this book. I read some parts aloud at my friend's sleep-over a few years ago, and it was so gross. And there were 4th graders at the party( my friend's little sister's friend)! I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone under 10 because of laungage and sexual refference.
Rating: Summary: 4 stars, I'll give it. Review: Since I'm a near 13 year old boy, this book portrayed a teen boy's life fairly accurately. With the way it is written, it shows that Jason's life as a teen is an ever-changing thing. Marceline is different. She doesn't fall into peer pressure, doesn't change just for Jason, and wants Jason to accept her differences, whether he likes it or not. I think this a good book.
Rating: Summary: A great book to read if you want a good laugh. Review: The first time I read this book was in 6th grade. I actually laughed out loud in class and had people staring. I thought it was hilarious then and five years later, I still think it is. It portrays actual life and teenage thoughts. While some might think it is demeaning to girls, I am personally not offended in any way because this book was made for the entertainment of the reader. The same kind of behavior and conversation is part of most teenage boys' everyday lives.
Rating: Summary: Not a Good Book for Kids Review: This book is a very dull book because kids in ninth grade don't act like this. It was very boring to read because all it was about was having a boyfriend or girlfriend. I don't reccomend this to anyone because I think it is poor literture.
Rating: Summary: It was a very good book. Review: This book is one of my favorite books because it is just like real life. It gets into subejcts like girls, and stuff like that. it was a very good book.
Rating: Summary: This was an awesome book 4 teens! Review: This books kicked a**! I would definetly resomend it for kids over 12 though. Some crude langauge but nothing worse than u hear in school
