Summary: BORING.....
Review: This is a somewhat well-written book. Although it is VERY boring I think it needs more suspense and action.

Summary: Mixture of New-age and Native American themes for kids
Review: Vision quest for 1990s teens near puberty! An interesting book to read to my eight year old. Sounds like the author read a fair amount of Castaneda. Can you take seriously a book in which the protagonist spends about a quarter of the book as a pack-rat? Apparently the author can and did a pretty good job of convincing me to also. Includes some well-done environmental and interpersonal themes and made me check a few of the author's other books out of the library for my son. I would recommend parental interpretation especially for younger or more impressionable kids.

Review: Wow! I just got done reading "Kokopelli's Flute" and I thougt it was grrreat but confusing book, that is why I gave it a 4 star. Kokopelli's Flute is kind of like a bunch of stories about the Anassazi with the same characters put together. The story was mysterious and I did not want to put it down. Though it is confusing, it is still a good book! I would higly recommend this book for ages 9 and up, and for people who are interested in the Southwest Native Americans. It's about a boy who meets a mysterious person. Soon the boy finds out that the mysterious person is also someone very special. But you have to read "Kokopellis Flute to find out who that special person is!!
