Summary: nice sequel
Review: holly and amanda are continuing their feud with the devereaux warlocks. nicole on the other hand has fled to parts unknown to escape the magic that nearly cost them their lives. holly is now the lead of the coven and her powers are growing past anything she ever expected. this book is not quite as good as the first one, but it will keep you enthralled with evil plots and schemes, lots of history lessons and life and death situations. i read it in 24 hours so it was not all bad.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not as good as the first one
Review: I loved the scenes with Nicole in Spain with the Spanish Coven and I anticipated them eagerly when not reading them, but as for the rest of the book, it doesn't quite measure up to the mystical quality of the first book.

All of the characters are out of character, the plot moves around way too much, and there are too many new characters to deal with. It didn't feel like the authors' hearts were in this book too much, especially after Nicole was taken to England and Holly sacrificed Hecate.

There are a lot of things in this book that aren't quite up to par with the last one, and I haven't even finished reading it. Frankly, I'm too scared to see what is going to happen next because I know that it will be an unpleasant shock rather than a good one.

Read it for yourself, though. It may appeal more to you than it does to me.

Summary: Excellent, but confusing...
Review: I really loved the first book, full of adventure, and romantic endevaurs, but I felt so confused by BOTH books because there doesn't seem to be a good-bad conflict. It seems like the two sides are bad, or the Cahor's are a little less bad than the Deverauxs, but there doesn't seem to be clear sides, which confuse me a lot throughout the book, and so do the time-switches. But all in all, I loved the plot and the character distinctions.

Summary: Good Series, but it will never be as good as "Sweep"
Review: Like I've said before, this series is good, but it will never be as good as 'Sweep.' The only thing that I don't like about it is how it's about the superstitous dark side of Wicca.

This is the sequel to 'Witch'. It takes place a year after the Death of Holly's parents death. She and her cousins have graduated high school. Holly is now leading a coven witch is made up of her, her cousins, some of Amanda's friends, and the remaining 'rebel' coven. Holly and Michael are at war again. The final battle ends up on the beach, which is bad for Holly, because her line had a curse placed on them which they or the ones they love die of drowning. Michael then summons his ancestors, having them try to make them drown Holly. But Isabeu, Holly's past self, is summoned as well to help her fight. They escape and are taken to the Mother Coven in London. Meanwhile, Nicole ran away because she couldn't deal with the pressure of being a witch. She ran away to Europe to escape the Deveraux's. She keeps running from church to church to aviod the feeling. In Spain, she meets a Spanish coven, who protect her. She then falls for one of the coven leaders, but is kidnapped by Eli and James, the son of the leader of the Supreme Coven. Jer is suffering on the island a Avalon. He has little contact with anyone, but reaches Holly through dreams. After he learns what her coven is doing, he doesn't want her to come rescue him, for her protection. While in London, Holly wants to rescue Jer, but reluctantly decides to rescue Nicole first, who has been forced to marry James. The story ends with Holly and Jer dreaming of each other.

Summary: Better than the last one, ok book for teens.
Review: Plot holes still plague the story.

The main problem most people will have is that there is no hero. The main character, Holly, devolves from Anti-hero to villain, and deserves to die every bit as much as the people she's fighting. Of the support characters, the actual "good gals and guys" are weak, whiney, and ineffective. There is very little real depth to the characters.

This is the second time the climactic battle description just stops, instead of ending. We get to the start of the climax at the end of one chapter, and the next chapter starts 10 minutes later looking back on what just happened.

The focus on how majic works is very unclear, as is how these kids are learning majic.

All things considered, if you need a break from Harlequin Romance novels and soap operas, this is fine, but otherwise you may want to look at a different series like Xanth, Mythadventures, Spellsinger, Hitch-hiker's Guide, or even Star Wars.

Summary: very good sequel 2 witch!!
Review: this is the second book in the wicked series. it lefts off of holly learning from a vision that jer is still alive and tries to figure out how to save him. she also learns that he is inprisioned on and island somewhere where she must find him. she also discovers about the curse that was place on the cathers coven during the time the cahors and the daeveraux coven fought that places where if any cathers which should drown in a body of water. anyways i thought that this was a excellent book but not as good as the first one. the next book thats coming out of this series is called legacy and it wont be out until sometime this summer. g2g

Summary: Better than the last one, ok book for teens.
Review: This sequel to Witch begins around a year after the death of Holly's parents. Holly's coven has joined with the Rebel Coven *Jer's Coven* in order to protect themselves from Michael Deveraux.

Nicole has run away because she can't deal with the powers and dangers associated with being a witch. Traveling around Europe, she senses that she's being chased by the Deveraux's. She travels to Spain and meets up with a coven there, who takes her in and promises to protect her. She is later kidnapped by a warlock, James.

Meanwhile, Jer is severely burned and on the island of Avalon. Sir William's son James sets the healing process in motion, but Jer fears Holly's reaction if/when they ever meet again. They meet in each other's dreams, but he warns her away because he fears for her safety.

The war between Holly's clan and Michael comes to a free-for-all at the ocean, because of a curse on the Cahors that curses all of their loved ones to die by water. Michael tries to use this to his advantage, and calls up all his dead ancesters to fight Holly. Isabeau, the spirit of Holly's ancestor in turn, helps Holly to call on thier ancestors as well.

Holly and her friends manage to escape and are taken to the Mother Coven in Paris. They want her to go and rescue Nicole, who was forced to marry James, but she *and Isabeau* want to go to Jer *and Jean*. Reluctantly, Holly agrees to rescue Nicole first.

The story ends with Holly and Jer dreaming of being together.
