Rating: Summary: I was shocked by the beautiful poetic-ness of this book Review: facinatingly wonderful! when I picked up this book I had no idea that it was going to contain such poignant quotes in it. I jhust figured, "hmmmm, I wonder what this book is about and I have been waiting for the first book to be in." from the same lady who has written an insane amount of books! all of the good quotes are convieniently written in italics also :) I had to resist the temptation to highlight things because ALAS it was a library book!
Rating: Summary: AWESOME!!! Review: ...I had to get the next books as soon as possible, which, even though it was the next weekend, wasn't soon enough. Well, I read those books in record time, and I canm't get enough of it. These books are so original, so interesting, and so ... great that you would have to get a crow bar to make me stop reading them. I don't see any problems with them; they are practically perfect. Gaia's situation is so unique, that I can't help but read the books. I'm SO glad that I decided to start this series, and I'm sure you'd enjoy them as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: Good story but..... Review: This book had a lot of pontential. It honestly did. The story is unique. This is the story of Gaia, who isn't afraid of anything. How is this you ask? Well, Gaia was born without the fear gene. She's afraid of nothing. As I said the book has a lot of pontential. Perhaps in the hands of a more skillfull writer this book would have been a bit better. The author's writing style is one of an amature. She changes the font of the writing for no reason, and she also changes the type face for no reason. There is one thing that I really liked about this book. That's the characterazation of Gaia. The author has the gift of making us care about Gaia, and tell the troubles of a girl her age. If you want to read this book, go ahead. This isn't a bad book, but I felt much more could have been done.
Rating: Summary: Be Fearless Review: Gaia is a girl born without the fear gene. However she does understand common sense which means she isn't going to throw herself off a building. She does go to the park at night and wait around for people to mug her though.(She wants to bash them up,and teach them a lesson.)!It was an alright book but I never bothered getting the rest in the series.I enjoyed it in a mediocre way,but if someone were to,say, come along and tear the book up,I wouldn't give a toss.
Rating: Summary: This is SUCH a GOOD BOOK!!!!!! Review: First of all, I love this book. I don't own it because I borrow all my fearless books from my friend who owns the entire series. Since last year I have been totally addicted. I am now on book #23, and can't wait another whole month for the next one to come out. These books get better and better, even if they are a little hard to believe. It's like a soap opera, except interesting and well written. I guess it's not like a soap opera... Oh well. Anywayz, it's a really good book to start off a really good series. And don't worry if you get confused, it becomes more clear as you read more, then more confusing until you read "before gaia", but I wouldn't reccomend that until you're at about book 20 or you won't have any idea what's going on. Wow, I'm advertizing lots of books here, aren't I? I can't help it, I'm hooked on Fearless!!!!! It's weird, when a new Fearless book comes out, it's like a rotation. One always buys them cause she wants to read them over and over, so the rest of us just borrow them. I'm 3rd in line out of 4. I should be second (let the person who bought it go first) cause I can read one in a single day. Anywayz, this review doesn't have much to do with book number one, it's just me going on and on about how the entire series rocks. Maybe I should review one that I read more recently... Well anywayz, read this book. You won't be sorry you did (unless you're really weird). Warning: these books are extremely addictive and should not be taken internally. :)
Rating: Summary: an interesting new series Review: gaia is not your average 17 year old. she is a black belt in karate, has studied a number of other martial arts, but who has a father who has deserted her after her mother was killed. she is also born without the fear gene. this causes her to jump headlong into trouble and thank goodness she can defend herself because if not she would probaly be dead. this story takes you through some of the trying times most of us faced at the tender age of 17 when we thought the world was against us and we tried to find our place in it.
Rating: Summary: A Rolling book of emotions Review: Ganot afraid of these killeria, aka punked girl without a fear gene who likes to beat up criminals, but when she finally goes into High School, things get to twist up a bit. First, she meets a guy named Ed who's lovesick for Gaia but she consinders Ed like a regular friend. Then there's Sam Moon, Gaia's crush and Sam also have somewhat feelings for Gaia. And of course, Heather, the stuck up girl who hates Gaia and who has Sam as her boyfriend. This all sums up when there's a gang of killers slashing people at Gaia's neighborhood and there's only one person who's s..Gaia.
Rating: Summary: A very inordinate book indeed Review: Wow. I first bought a used copy of this book, and started to read the first couple pages--my eyes opened with surprise at the way it was written. Good dialogue, description, and I liked the way the author painted a picture with the words. Definitely a must-read!
Rating: Summary: Way Better than Pascal's Sweet Valley Books!!~~ Review: Fearless is written by Francine Pascal. It is about a fearless, seventeen-year-old girl named Gaia (Guy-Uh) Moore. She lives with two guardians, George and Ella Niven. George was a CIA friend with Tom Moore, Gaia's dad. While her mother died when she was 12. Gaia doesn't really like Ella that much. She thinks that she is 17 instead of thirty-something. At school, she meets this handicapped guy named Ed Fargo. Ed turns out to be a loyal friend of Gaia in the book. One time they go out for coffee and Gaia spills coffee on this popular girl's T-shirt by accident. The girl's name is Heather and they turn out to be enemies because Gaia wouldn't apologize to her because it is just her of not to apologize. And Heather hates Gaia because she hangs with her ex-boyfriend--Ed. In New York, one of her favorite things is to go into town to play chess, usually with this guy named Renny and Zolov, who is 80-something years old. This guy in New York named Marco likes this girl, who is a friend of Gaia. She tells him that protect her in the park. But he betrays her. And you won't believe who's the girl and what she does to Marco at the end of the book. One time when Gaia was playing chess, she likes this guy named Sam Moon who is Heather Gannis' boyfriend. He is a sopohmore at NYU. And he likes both Gaia and Heather. In the book, Gaia turns out to be shy. Like, at a party that Ed invited her to. So, I am just glad that Pascal wrote a better series than Sweet Valley! Sweet Valley [is bad] now. So please read this! This is a great book and a great series!
Rating: Summary: Better than Pascal's Sweet Valley Books!!! Review: Fearless is written by Francine Pascal. and i'll admit it--i love the series! well, so far. this book is about a seventeen-year-old teenage girl named Gaia(Guy-Uh) Moore. She lives with two guardians, George and Ella Niven. She likes George but doesn't like Ella. At school, she meets this handi-capped guy named Ed Fargo. During the book, he turns out to be a loyal friend to Gaia. Gaia likes playing chess with these two guys named Renny and this 80-something year old man named Zolov. He thinks that Gaia's name is Cindy. But she doesn't mind. Anyway, she and Ed go out to a coffeeplace in NY. She meets this popular girl named Heather. Heather and Ed used to go out. But now she dates this cute sophmore guy at NYU named Sam Moon. Gaia likes him. And he does. Then Heather goes to Washington Square Park and ends up in a coma in the hospital for awhile. Usually the whole book Gaia fights with guys. While this guy named Marco likes this girl in public (who is a friend of Gaia's and you'll never believe who it is and what she does to him at the end. gotta read the book & find out for yourself) She tells him that please protect her friend in the park. But he betrays her. So Heather and Gaia become enemies, because Gaia accidentally dumped coffee on her shirt. She didn't apologize cause it is just not her to do that. So the reason why I put 4 stars is because at first it was a little confusing. Plus, I am not very good with vocabulary words well. Like I said for the title: Sweet Valley is nothing but [junk]! It is turning out to be soo BOR-RING. It's about time that Pascal makes a much better series. All in all, please read this! This is a GREAT book!
