Rating: Summary: Setting the Pace Review: A lot of things happened in the last Pine Hollow book, and #15, Setting the Pace, ties up many of the loose ends. Many of them, but not all of them. Red and Denise's wedding happens on New Year's Eve, a night that changes many of the characters lives forever. Carole, Cam, Callie, George, Lisa, Alex, Ben, and Scott's lives all take a turn, for better or for worse. Lisa's life finally settles down after insane month, as her Mom makes an important decision about moving to New Jersey, and she and Alex sort out their relationship. Meanwhile Carole finds out something important about Cam, and surprisingly, Ben! Callie's fear of George grows to a point where she can barely stand to think about him. A few people have been complaining about the lack of horses in the series, and they'll be happy to know that as well as the romance parts, horses return! They spend more time on the trails then in TD's, and (GASP!) Bryant's horse talk comes back! Did you know the difference between a canter and a gallop? Now you do! All in all, it was a pretty good book, even though it ended on a cliff-hanger, so now I'm desperate for book sixteen! It was exciting and fast-paced, even though a couple parts seemed a bit rushed, (the last chapter at the barn, for instance.) But it was fun to read, and worth the wait. Great Christmas present!
Rating: Summary: Setting the Pace Review: Experiencing teenage anguish is something most people can identify with - or at least remember. In the newest book in the Pine Hollow series by Bonnie Bryant, titled Setting the Pace, four best friends, Lisa, Carole, Stevie and Callie, struggle through slightly cliche but very engaging problems. Lisa faces moving halfway through her senior year; Carole has a boyfriend pressuring her to go farther physically then she wants; Stevie is training for a horse race; and Callie is haunted by a stalker. All these problems weave around their daily life struggles at school, home and at the stable they all ride at. By weaving many plots together, Bryant effectively holds a reader's interest throughout the entire novel. Any person struggling with ther own problems can take a step away into the happily-ever-after complicated lives of the friends, and walk away with a brighter moral and encouraging perspective.

Rating: Summary: Best Book Yet! Review: I loved this book! It cleared up lots of the questions at the end of the last book. For instance, Lisa's mom's decision on moving-whew! That had me worried for a little while! The rest of the book was a little more predictable. I could tell from book 13 that the Cam-Carole thing wouldn't last. And I, for one, am glad. What a jerk! I definitely want to see more of Ben. I'm dying to find out more about him(and Zani)-I hope we find out more in the next book. The George situation wasn't too surprising either. He's always given me the creeps-it's not hard too imagine him turning into a stalker. Also, what has happened to Kate, Christine, John, and Skye? I'd like to find out more about what happened to them. Despite it's predictability I loved this book and I can't wait for #16!
Rating: Summary: Pine Hollow Setting the Pace Review: I Luved this book!!!!!!! It was great. I'm so glad that Lisa's mom decided not to go through with the move. I'm concerned with Cam and Carole's breakup. Now what's going to happen? As for the George thing I think he should just get a life, he is so close to stalking Callie.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book once again! Review: I really liked this book alot it kept you on your toes as to wether or not things were going to happen or not, I was shocked to read how cam turned out in the end, he is not the same character that I came to know and love in the Saddle Club books Horse Show and some other ones especially the one about Caroles birthday party. I am glad that Carole had enough common sense to tell him to back off and wait and it took alot of guts to tell him how she really felt about moving that fast in their relationship! I appulade that! Ms Bryant is really covering the issues that teens are going through today and how it is okay to deal with them, all except stevie though, I don't know about dressing a boy up in a blonde wig to save a best friend! Some moms just might not understand that one!! Ha! All in all a great book!
Rating: Summary: very good Review: I thought this was a very good book.It was one of the best in a series.I liked it b/c it was very good. I would definitely rate this book w/ 5 stars.I think that bonnie bryant is a very good author. She should keep writing books for a very long time.
Rating: Summary: Good book Review: Its a good book. I hope Lisa gets back together with Alex Lake and not with Scott. It's good that she's not moving away. I'm dlad that Callie's lover is moving away but what will happen to "Joyride". I hope they make more books well more than 17.
Rating: Summary: Good book. Review: The book is pretty good. It's hard to beleive that Lisa's mom wants them to move to New Jersey. Stevie even thinks about putting a blond wig on Micheal so Lisa won't have to go! Then she get's a little more logical. I also can't beleive Lisa and Alex's decision. Now about Carole... Suprisingly, Cam may be out of the picture. Forever! Cam is really annoying. You'll have to read to see what happens. This is a really good book!
Rating: Summary: great Review: this book was a really good pine hollow book. There were more horses in it all and all, and i think that it is well written. The ending makes me desprate for number 16 to come out, a real cliff hanger! Kinda spooky too. I think that you could see what was going to happen between cam and carole when he was being mad at maxie at the wedding, i would have told him to stuff it then and there. I feel bad for carole though. Its hard to believe that cam has changed so much between The Saddle Club and Pine Hollow. I liked Ben better anyways. Hope you all enjoy it
